Hi Cheryl - new here. I just saw your question. I'm wondering if you made a decision? I have the same question. I was thinking, for myself, I normally sell prints in a brick & mortar store for 35.00 each. They're 6x8. Of that amount, after commission and cost to produce, I get 14.00. I was thinking IF I went the instant download direction I would charge at least that much per image downloaded.

It would be interesting to know if that's unreasonable or ridiculous low! 🙂

Hi Shari! So sorry; I just now saw your message. So far, I've had to decide only on a download % for greeting cards. I decided to use 92.9% because that makes the price of the download come to exactly $12.00. I think this is reasonable for cards, as they could print as many as they want for that price, and that is the price I would pay myself. As for prints, I personally think your royalty of $14.00 is reasonable, perhaps even more would be. I think too that things like this we just have to test and see. By the way, I checked out your store, and you have very interesting art. I love your imagination and talent. I wish you many many sales! Cheryl : )

i have one item that allows a digital download option, and it defaulted to a ridiculously huge commission with a fee for the high commission. did that happen to you also?

Follow and I'll follow back

Hi. Yes. Zazzle has implemented a new fee for high commissions. I don't worry about that myself because I feel the fee is not too high, and I am just happy to make any sales. I set my royalty on greeting cards to 92.9% so they will be $12.00 for the customers. I'll have to decide on other items in the future when I have a chance to get more product on. Thanks for the reply! Cheryl
