Concerning Social Media for me Instagram has always performed best over the years but that’s not true anymore nowadays. In fact I haven’t gotten a single visit referred from Insta since I have installed a tracker on my site (a couple of weeks ago).
However I have joined Thread (Insta’s child) as well and I didn’t really know what to do with it so I didn’t post there for ever. Finally I started to include it when I make my round promoting my listings.
I promoted a listing on Thread last about 8 hours ago and Thread just sent me this notification:
Quote
Mid-century Musical Instruments DIY Peel and Stick Wallpaper - see, personalize and buy at htt...
Your thread got over 100 views.
Unquote
I find this quite surprising. Two Zazzlers are following me, one or two from Red Bubble as well (I’m not on Red Bubble) and a couple obviously fake accounts totaling seven followers. I don’t get how my post from today has gotten so many eye balls but I don’t mind (of course) - especially because some are actually clicking through.
So I wonder now if many of you are utilizing Thread? 🤔

Yes, I'm using it, but no likes, no views, absolutely nothing.... I must be doing something wrong.... It has never been this bad!

I think Social Media is shifting right now. Nothing I thought I used to know about it holds anymore. Maybe it's because I have lost interest some time (many, many moons) ago. The only thing I appreciate is that Thread lets you have active links contrary to Instagram. And that could make all the difference in my case. Maybe.

Their terms of service say Threads can't be used for commercial purposes?
"You agree that you shall not, nor shall you cause or permit any third party to do, or attempt to do any of the following in connection with your use of the Threads Service: (i) exploit the Threads Service for any commercial purpose;"

Hi again Connie,
First I wanted to thank you again for bringing this to my attention. So I just went to Threads to see if I can delete my posts - turns out I could which is good (took me for ever, lol). Then I thought I would read the terms of service since I actually had neglected to do so when I had signed up. No wonder I didn't read them since they are posted on Insta. Now the question remains what to do with it - Threads I mean. An other empty page added to the Internet Waste Land...
