Concerning Pinterest Business Account

Hi everyone-

I have a new Pinterest Business Account.

1. When I go to one of my Zazzle products and click the little red Pinterest icon under it, it pins my product to my Pinterest account. I checked, and under the "Destination URL" in the Pinterest analytics section, I see that it does contain my associate ID.

However,  I seen that several people advise to not use that red Pinterest button on Zazzle because the Pinterest button won't have your ID.  Maybe the Pinterest button has been improved?  In a related matter, one thing I never see is a place to enter my "description" and/or manually enter my Associate ID like many tutorials advise. I am so confused.

Thank you in advance for any guidance 😀

@LoveToCreate When you pin directly from zazzle using the pin button, you can't edit title or description  on Pinterest as it pulls that data direct from Zazzle's website and is un-editable.

Ideally, you should create your own pin (1000 x 1500 dimensions recommended) and upload it to pinterest directly where you have much more control over the pin's URL/title/description which helps your pin getting found on pinterest which is the aim of the game

Thank you so much! That helps

Finally. someone answered my question. I have spent days watching videos on how to add keywords to my pinterest tags and no wonder I couldnt do it. You just mentioned that the pins that get pinned directly from my zazzle account are un-editable. So, If I create a pin from scratch(which I have never done in my life, but I'll learn how), I'm going to be able to add keywords and/or hashtags? So these pins that get pinned directly from zazzle to pinterest have "built-in keywords"? I mean, how are other pinterest users going to find our pins that have been directly pinned from our zazzle accounts? Thanks

@cosmictraces The zazzle ones only have the keywords that are in the title as far as I know. So pinners will find them if your title description has keywords that they are looking for.

Like I said, the aim of the game is to be found on pinterest which will then link back to your product on zazzle so ideally you want to use keywords that pinners are using to be able to find your products.

Creating a pin is easy. Set your document in your photo editing software to 1000 x 1500 px - add your mockup of your product and export to your desktop/folder. That easy. Then go to your pinterest account, (hopefully you have set your account as a business one) and look for the Create button (top left ish) drop down and Create a Pin. Drag and drop your promo into the big box on the left. Add a title (using keywords that relate to the product, add description - again more keywords here not too many and not spammy. Don't worry about hashtags as the latest word on Pinterest Street is that they're not really needed (opinions may vary) Add alt text for screen readers (which is just a basic description of what the image is - ie. it's a white coffee cup with a picture of a goat on it) then add the link to your product. Choose which board you want to pin it too (you can create a new board if needed) then hit publish. Job done

Hi, I am also very confused with this pinterest deal. I am new to zazzle and pinterset too. I just asked a question on the forum a few seconds ago. My problem is that I can't type any keywords to my pins on pinterest. There is no slot or space to type keywords. I have watched many youtube videos and I cant resolve this matter. I hope someone can help us both.

When you use the little red pin button on Zazzle you can double-check that your referral does show up by doing the following:

Go to the item you pinned on your Pinterest page.  Click on it.  Hover your cursor over the image and look at the very bottom of your screen.  It will show you exactly what URL is going to be populated.  See my image below where it shows my Rf#

It does suck that you cant edit the titles etc anymore.  We should be adding some sort of FTC complaint message to our pins.

ok, that's good to know. My question was more in regards to the inability to type keywords. Another Lady from the zazzle community answered it. Products that get pinned on the zazzle website become uneditable when you open them up on pinterest. In order to type keywords we must create the pin from scratch on the pinterest website. Thanks for your reply. I'm in the diaper stage of my business and learning about zazzle and also pinterest.
