I just started going over some of my Pinterest boards and thought someone might want to join. FYI - I have very little luck getting referral sales from Pinterest. After 10(?) years you would think I knew what I am doing. I started out just having fun saving the things I like and then putting my POD products up. This is for the Animal Design Products Board. I am not sure if you have to ask to join or if you can join directly when you are there. You can message me on Pinterest if a request is needed. All this board holds are designs with animals of all kind and it doesn't matter where they are from. I have not added a new section in awhile. If your products do not fit in any of the categories you can add a section.

I've made a request to join. I've been pinning and I don't get much of anything from it, I tried following, commenting re-pinning, no one seems interested in my designs. I'm beginning to think that pinterest is a waste of time.

Same!! Aside from creating Idea Pins I've tried to go by their pin size recommendations, pinning practices (I use Tailwind), etc. but I get no views on hardly anything but my website freebies from long ago. I still see the little square images all over Pinterest and am tempted to just pin from any of my shop sites and let it be.

I have been using Pinterest since it first began. I have found that the majority of my items get no views but over the years I have made some sales or referrals from Pinterest. At one time I was adding the word pin on my referral link showing where I was linking from but it became too much work. I just pin and hope that something gets viewed or directed to my site or Z items. If I just started in the past few years I would have given up by looking at the views but it seemed to work. I don't worry about the size of the image as long as it is accepted - I figure if someone is looking for a particular thing they will go to it. If I add photographs or pictures just for sharing purposes then I make them bigger. It is a nice place that seems to still accept posts. I did research and they said don't delete stuff so I don't. Just add a few different items a day. I have quite a few collections that you are welcome to join. The more that gets added and the variety of designs is good. I am adding a link today for my Zodiac page - If you want to join any pages that are not set up for you to do so directly message me on pinterest to join. Good luck here is the Zodiac page https://www.pinterest.com/leatherwooddesign/all-zodiac/

I find the same thing happening to me but since I have a place to post I do. I have gotten a few sales that I know of over many years but I stopped looking at the results. I feel like it is a place to add things when I have extra time. I never depend on it as normal advertising. I think that the more different designs that get listed ( different designs ) the better chance of being found happens. If you are looking as this to be seen you might want to sign up for the business option. Problem then is you have to pay. Just add things and forget about them. That is what I do. I used to make myself sick checking to see what gets seen. Good luck in whatever way you go.

I floated around your animal boards and wondered if it wouldn't be better if each board were devoted to a specific type of animal. I randomly picked your playing cards board and then ran a search on Pinterest for "animal playing cards." It ended up being a mountain of all kinds of animals. What, I wondered, would happen if the person searching wanted only llamas or golden retrievers or flop-eared bunnies? They wouldn't want to see butterflies or whatever. I don't know if it would help to divide them up, not by product, but by creature. It's simply a thought I had.

That sounds great but I don't know if I have the time to set it up. Are you saying that if someone is looking at the board and uses the search it brings up only items in the board? I was never able to search a specific board.... I do have separate boards for different animals.
Some of them are set up with separate item areas. The one for dogs is not set up yet. I just have it with two sections. One I started with years ago of just photographs and I added a products section. Since I do not do much work on dogs I didn't get it set up more. Here is the link https://www.pinterest.com/leatherwooddesign/dogs-life/
One I have set up a bit better is Zebras with 9 sections. I believe this is how I would like them all set up. https://www.pinterest.com/leatherwooddesign/beautiful-zebra-on-photographs-and-quality-product/
The more setting things up the more out of hand it all gets. Too many irons in the fire.
