Just getting started on Benable

I've been looking for additional ways to promote my many collections of products on Zazzle and accepted an invitation to join this relatively new product showcase, somewhat similar to Pinterest.  My Benable site is at: https://benable.com/gigapacket

If you would like to join, I invite you with this link: https://benable.com/i/727X7

I'm interested in hearing how this is working out for other designers. Is there anything special that is working for you?

I should note that Benable is for more than Zazzle. They are part of many affiliate programs and will automatically include you for products that you post. You'll get paid if somebody clicks through and buys the product. You may wish to turn off the Benable auto-affiliate link for your Zazzle postings, as you'll likely get a higher commission through you own link. You can post both individual products and collections.

Good luck!

Hi @JohnShepler . I'm just getting started on Benable too. I entered a few lists from my Zazzle collections, much like you've done. Just to give you a heads up, I got an email from Benable with the following friendly advice:

Unfortunately, the algorithm can’t boost your profile fully yet, as it looks like almost all of your recommendations have affiliate links. The Benable algorithm can sometimes penalize profiles that it deems are overly storefront-y or sales-y. So although listing products you love on Benable is great, it’s important to balance out that content with some lists and recommendations that are less transactional. For example, you could create a list of your favorite restaurants or local activities, trusted services you love, or online resources, etc. Whatever is authentic to you - the more creative the better! As soon as your profile page is a bit more well-rounded, the algorithm will help increase the reach of all of your lists.

I thought the email was a really nice way to let me know what I could do to improve on the site, instead of aggressively banning my account like some sites might have done.  I've since taken their advice and added some less-sales-y-type lists. I'm waiting to see if it has any effect on getting more of my lists optimized.!

P.S. I gave you a follow 🙂
