Background

First, @Colorwash / @Barbara, she was right some time ago. I posted about the writing site where we were freelancing for $0.014 per word. I was trying to share and help anyone, who needed immediate, guaranteed income.  Colorwash said the pay was too low, but it gave us weekly income we needed starting two days after our mother died. It provided us with at least 95% of the income we needed for five years and four months until last September.  That's when I realized that something seemed wrong with my completed articles waiting for review, but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then, I realized a $20 article was missing. I questioned it , and was told that two editors had taken it and given it to a five-star writer. I was sent a copy of the article to see what the five star writer wrote. The article was a rewrite of a landing page that was supposed to retain all the links on the original page. None of the original links were there, but new ones were used.

We did two things.

1. We alerted other writers in the forum to watch their completed articles carefully.

2. I wrote back and told them that the five-star writer's article didn't comply with the client's request. That it destroyed the visitor and convention bureau's website. I asked if the writer or editors read the instructions, or if they had any reading comprehension?

We were fired on September 30. Elizabeth already had another freelance writing position. I found several for $0.02 to $0.03 per word. Then, about a month ago, an editor got snippy and said, "If your so good, why are you writing for $0.02 per word. Well, we're not now. We are writing for a site that we signed up with in December and pays $108 to $115 per 1000 words, much better than the $14 we were getting. The issue is that orders are not always consistent, and they pay twice a month. Elizabeth actually has $570 coming, but May 30 is a holiday and instead of paying on the 27th, it says it will be paid on the 31st. I have written all this so you know why we are making this offer at the set price.

Offer

We are offering to write 16 blog posts for one or more creators at $25 per article. They will be 500 to 700 word articles. We have written on a large variety of topics including automotive, home maintenance and repair, gardening, home decor, product reviews, grilling, entertaining, and travel. The reason that I said especially wedding invitation creators is because we intend to start a series of articles on unique wedding venues for our blogw. We already have one article on Huntsville, Alabama that we can send as a sample. It is unpublished, so it is available for immediate sale. We will retain the copyright until someone buys it. We can also send samples of articles that we have written and sold on other topics. The copyright belongs to the purchaser, so they can't be used or sold. The wedding invitation articles will include an intro and three to five venues in one area or type of wedding such as dude ranches, your choice. We would expect to have all 16 articles finished by May 20th, the 25th at the latest. We will tell you when we are ready to start your articles and would expect 50% or $12.50 non-refundable downpayment via PayPal at that time. We will allow one revision.

You can view articles we wrote for our blog last Christmas at https://marbethhomearts.weebly.com/entertaining----blog-posts

All articles will be run through Grammarly for grammar and readability.

You can contact us through our MarBeth Holidays store at zazzle.com/MarBethHolidays

The point of the wedding venue articles would be to give newly engaged brides-to-be an idea of destination wedding locales. The venues could be typical resorts or unusual venues, such as the ones we highlight in the Huntsville, Alabama article. We provide information on the facilities and services provided by the venue including guest capacity, catering, event planning, and even spas. At the end of the article, some of your products could be featured like we did with our blog posts.

As for other blog topics, we can  cover holidays for greeting cards or gift wrap, cookouts and party planning, advice for new parents, or pet topics. We can help you choose topics that could draw potential customers and feature your products at the end.
