New store. I believe I have my store in good shape or perhaps not. Now I'm ready to work on the Pinterest portion but I'm a bit confused. I believe there are 2 options for pinning. 1 seems the easiest which is to click the Save to Pinterest button and put it on the appropriate board. 2 is to go to Pinterest and add the URL along with description and keywords. Option 1 doesn't seem to give me the ability to put in description or keywords or am I missing something? Which is the better option? I have my boards set up in Pinterest with appropriate tags for each board. Do I need to be tagging each pin?

I feel Option 2 is far superior and use that most of the time. I use Option 1 when I feel lazy or the product is not one I am expecting to be a raging success.

That was my thoughts. Now my next question is if I have the same design on multiple products, should I post all the products or just a a couple?

Post only once for one LINK. When you print the same design, onto a second product, that product has a new link. So go ahead and post that second product too. Best strategy is to keep your boards between 20 and 100 items. Name your board very well so that search can find what you are selling in there. When you hit 100 products, better to start a new board rather than keep adding to it.
Reason given: Most people are searching on phone. People will only scroll so far on a phone. Many of my old boards do not follow the above ideas. I am trying to do a lot better with my new boards, like this one. https://www.pinterest.com/ArmchairTravelers/christmas-ornament-keepsakes-for-girls-and-boys/

Great question — I had the same confusion when I first started using Pinterest for my Zazzle products.
You're right: there are two main ways to pin, and both have pros and cons.
Option 1: Pin directly from the Zazzle product page using the Pinterest button
Easiest method
Pulls in the product title and image
BUT it doesn’t let you add a custom description or targeted keywords (which are important for Pinterest search)
Option 2: Go to Pinterest, click “Create Pin,” and paste in the Zazzle product URL manually
Takes a bit longer
Gives you full control over the title, description, and keywords
This is the method I use for my bridal shower invitation collections, since I want them to be searchable beyond just product names
Regarding tags and keywords:
Yes, you do want to use targeted keywords in each Pin’s description
Your board titles and board descriptions also matter — sounds like you're already doing a good job with that part
If you’re short on time, start by manually pinning your bestsellers or seasonal products. That way you can focus your energy where it counts most.
Hope this helps clarify things!
