This is specifically for the rolls of paper and not the sheets AND when set to horizontal and not tile. I've been on Zazzle a while now, but I am just now getting into events and paper goods including wrapping paper. I have seamless tiles of assorted sizes that appeared to be tiled properly until I checked the mockup further down the row, and realized every single roll that I have made this season had a flaw down the middle. After putting my head together with my sister, we realized that in order for it to tile perfectly you need to have your tile width (the height doesn't matter) set to a number that divides evenly into 36. You also need to check the tile box to "none" after every tile size change and re enter the proper number because it won't scale properly between the changes for whatever reason. I hope this helps those of you who, like me, had no idea that there was a specific way you needed to tile. I can't find a help file or anything on it. I spent half of my morning fretting and checking my pattern tiles and now I am off to fix all but one roll where I accidentally did it right! 🤣

Yesterday I discovered a method to create mockups for Zazzle products. I have some hip flasks in my shop which I need to promote more, so I was looking for mockups online. I only found ones which you have to pay for. I have an account on ChatGPT, so I wondered whether I could create mockups with ChatGPT. And yes, it is possible! I followed these steps: I went to "Downloads" and downloaded an image of the flask- I went to ChatGPT and uploaded said image. I wrote the following text: "Can you create a mockup with the above image? I want to show the flask standing on a table". I then got the following image: I downloaded the image and I am using it now in my X promotion. In order to add it to the Zazzle mockups on the product page you have to enlarge it. I hope this post is useful!

Seems like as a community we've 'discovered' Benable... As with any platform there's definitely going to be a learning curve with how to please the algorithm... Two things I've noticed so far - a list I had that was not 'optimized' for a few days - it was my first and I needed to add more items has not earned an optimized badge, even after I updated it. I tried to avoid this with a very large list I was making by hiding it until it was all done and that list has also not earned an optimized badge. Neither of these lists are in the "Tune up" section of my dashboard, so I'm wondering if a list doesn't earn optimized right away, if it perhaps never will. If that is so, I'm going to have to be very organized and make sure I always have at least 15 items queued up and ready when I decide to make a list. The other possibility, I guess, is that my second list is too large - it contains 146 items, they are separated into sections. And a question - has anyone earned a referral from Benable yet? I'm in the promoter2 program and of the two I'd rather get my promoter referral than the referral offered through the Benable site... but the links list look like my clean ones that I need. Should I switch the Benable "auto affiliate link" off on all of my Z items or is is possible to earn in both places..

People often post here about the Sell It Button not working, grayed out, or not available. Reasons why may include the following: One. Creator started to edit a product designed by another creator. If you want to sell the product, you need to start with a blank product. Here is one place where you can get to all the blank products. https://www.zazzle.com/custom/gifts Two. Creator started to edit a blank product, however, added an ICON or a designer BACKGROUND to the product. All the ICONS seen on the left panel of the design tool are available ONLY for customization and purchase by the shopper. If you apply a Zazzle supplied ICON such as an occupation, and ornament or a cat, you will see a grayed out sell it button and will not be able to sell this product. The only shapes you can use on a product you will post for sale, are the circle, square, triangle and line, or any shape you upload yourself. As for backgrounds, the plain colors are saleable. But if you choose a background from "Most Popular Backgrounds" , you can add the item to your cart, but you will not ever see the sell button. You are welcome to make your own background and upload that to your images. If you do that you will be able to sell the product. THREE. Greeting cards will not show a SELL IT button if you have chosen NONE as the envelope type.

Hello! With this week's Early Black Friday sale, I have been motivated to update a previous video from last year regarding saving money when shopping on Zazzle, as well as to create a new one regarding the current sale. Even if you don't plan to shop or advertise the current sale, I think the video may be worthwhile to review as a creator, as I think looking at the current offerings might provide some insight on deals offered on the platform in the holiday season to come. Video update to my "How to Save Money on Zazzle" video posted 8 months ago, prior to Black Friday/Cyber Monday: https://youtu.be/hRVzmskyxw8?si=Nf8w9hhsQ9nRt_GO Video about the current sale, deals to consider shopping (or suggesting your followers shop 😉) as well as what it may reveal about future sales . . . which might inform where you want to place your royalty percent and other aspects of your Zazzle business. https://youtu.be/KCLjdqrbDrY?si=9NuJfnBiTGRAOeRA I am hoping to release a third video today, but it will truly be more relevant to customers, especially those who may not be terribly familiar or comfortable with using the site and recognizing all of the features available to them as shoppers. That being said, your support in views, likes, or comments is ALWAYS very much appreciated. I hope you find some helpful information in these videos. I appreciate your views, likes, comments, and support. 🙂 Amanda CtrlZ Digital Designs

Sometimes, it’s the little personal rituals that power our creativity. It helps to pause and laugh at how delightfully weird we can be when we’re in the zone. Okay, this might be the most entertaining creative ritual I’ve come across and I had to share it here to break up the usual tone and bring a little joy to the room. My friend Sara uses her AI assistant to write ebooks overnight while she sleeps. Totally normal, right? Well… not exactly. She asked her AI to talk like a sexy cowboy. And I mean full-on drawl, slow twang, and boots-thudding-on-wood-plank-floor cowboy. He throws out lines like, “Darlin’, reckon it’s time we saddle up and rustle us a page-turner,” while spinning tales that smolder like a campfire under the desert moon. But wait ….it gets better. Sara once dressed up in a cowgirl outfit to complete her writing ritual. Hat, boots, fringe, sass the whole Wild West look while her AI sweetheart tapped away in cowboy mode. Her husband? He now refers to the AI as her boyfriend. I laughed so hard I cried. Literal tears. And honestly… I kind of loved it. It reminded me that sometimes, a little silliness is exactly what fuels our creative spark. So here’s a challenge: Share your quirkiest ritual, funniest routine, or most random creative habit. Do you wear costumes while designing? Talk to your mockups? Blast Christmas music in the middle of summer? I’ll go first: When it’s 95 degrees outside and I need to summon the Christmas spirit for designing holiday products, I crank the AC down to 67 degrees, blast Christmas music, and don a Santa hat like it’s December 24th. Total brain freeze. But hey festive ambiance works, even in flip-flops. Note: The name "Sara" has been changed to protect privacy

After receiving a lot of passionate feedback around referral tracking and cookie behavior, I did some deep digging into browser data settings and customer-friendly cleansing methods. I know some creators feel this process is too inconvenient or ineffective, but I wanted to share a practical approach that supports both shoppers and designers. I stayed up late scouring tech resources and testing strategies, and turned it all into a more detailed, accessible blog post aimed at educating and empowering users not just about removing cookies, but why it matters for independent creators trying to earn fair commissions. If you're curious about how to clean browser cookies without losing your mind—or your bookmarks—here’s the guide: Shop Smart, Support Designers: The Referral Guide Every Shopper Should Know Thanks to everyone who’s help to move this conversation forward. It’s not just about tech—it’s about respect, transparency, and giving creatives a real shot.

I was not expecting to get any sales. I still think no one knows about Benable but I think I might be wrong and this is one of the biggest opportunities for us Zazzle creators to make extra income and promote our stores! Pics and more info below I just learned about the page here 10 days ago. Opened an account and created 2 lists on April 2nd. My gifts one was optimized in a few hours (which I guess is what they always do if you follow the first instructions), then the mermaid one was optimized when it had about 30 items but once I added more my "list optimized" badge was removed and I have not been able to bring it back. The tune-up page says everything is correct. The thing is, I forgot about it until today and when I checked I got 2 affiliate sales from this not optimized list! Once 4 days and one 6 days after creating the list. Woah!! So yes, it works!!! If you were doubting about using it, I say do it. People actually check them out and see your products, even if they end up buying something else you also add to the list. Just wanted to share because I'm still in shock and it can help all of us. If you don't have an account, you can skip the waiting list with my invitation here: https://benable.com/i/MHB53 or here: https://benable.com/i/5K7C1

Full disclosure: I'm a retired research librarian. Basically that means that SEARCH was a way of life for me. In that world, we could use boolean phrasing, various other advanced search parameters as well as keyword placement to find what our patrons wanted. Zazzle Search is pretty rudimentary. Yet, there are a couple of tricks that will help you. enclose your search term in " " aka parentheses. Doing so forces your search to look for a phrase instead of separate words. E.g.: "thin blue line" instead of thin blue line. within the phrase, add additional terms to narrow the focus. E.g.: "thin blue line police" forces the word Police into the mix. Only titles/descriptions having all four words will return. Unfortunately this search does not recognize + and - or ( ) within the parans term. So we're limited to basic search term manipulation. Begin your search with the least number of terms, then add on terms to focus the search. This is a standard search method. Never start with a stack of terms. I usually start with two terms and work upwards. Watch the search results number at the right of the window to monitor progress. Unfortunately varying the placement of your search terms doesn't seem to effect results. My librarian genetics are having fits. Lastly, just to make life more interesting, you can add parans search sets one after the other, leaving a space between each set. "thin blue line" "law enforcement". By doing so you have forced search to look for only produces containing both terms. That's all for now. I'm going to dig a bit deeper to see if any other search tricks will befuddle the big Z

For those who wish to double-check their Royalties and Referrals using Excel (or equivalent), I created a quick-and-dirty file which can be downloaded on (link removed for security concerns)
Quite sure the link wouldn't be allowed here and not even sure if ^that text is allowed, but if Mods are cool and leave it, remember the disclaimer: Don't take candy or files from strangers. I know it's just a simple spreadsheet, but download at your risk, scan it with virucide, or use your ex's computer to get back at him to give it a whirl.
If you're risk averse, you can recreate it using the JPG below.
Column A is just description;
Column B is numbers and math;
Column C tells you the designation/name of the cells in Column B to the left of C; and
Column D is part description and, where applicable, actual formulas in Column B.
Where you see YELLOW highlight, you drop in numbers.
Where you see NO COLOR or ORANGE, those are calculated for you or picked up from your Yellows.
You'll grab your Selling Price from the top number of a Royalty paid; you'll grab your Upgrades/Options Price from the bottom number of a Royalty paid (think envelopes and extras where we only get paid 5%; sometimes there is nothing at 5% -- just enter ZERO). Your Royalty Rate you know, of course, and your Department Rates are there to the right in gloomy gray for easy reference.
All that said, it's way past my bedtime -- if anyone sees any mistakes, please tell me (be gentle... or funny -- I'll take either 😏).
Hope it's helpful. 😊 Generally speaking we are, after all, creatives and not mathletes, so it may take a thing off your plate.
@idraw > In response to your message that I can *read* but not respond to because I might be a bot. 😁
