WOW! You went through all those fonts?! You're amazing! Thank you very much for this very helpful list!

@Connie you're welcome! I'm now compiling charts for the ligatures in the same way as was done for the Angela Script / Ellizabeth / Primadona / Lady Love fonts. when I'm done, they'll go into a collection in this thread.

that, of course, will take a wee bit longer :).

@Baylee the ligature/glyph collection is coming. 19 down, a whole lot more to come. 🙂

This is much appreciated 😀

Now if only I knew how to enter the unicode characters properly!! 😋 I've never been able to figure it out.

Can someone please take pity on me and give me exact instructions on how to type the code in...I've tried every method I can find on Google but nothing seems to work for me. Since someone has provided the code list for Angela Script in another thread, if you wouldn't mind using that font as an example maybe my thick head could finally wrap around this task.

I have no earthly idea how to type the codes in, so I use a Unicode chart: https://jrgraphix.net/r/Unicode/E000-F8FF I find the one I want and then I copy the actual character (the hollow rectangle box) and paste that into the text field.

Or... you could open the Angela Script code list in the design tool and then edit the text field and copy the little box from there.

Once again you've saved the day Cat!!!  Bless you😀  At last something I can understand. Thank you so much for the Unicode chart. I've never seen that in all my searches, and believe me I've looked at everything I could find to try and figure out how to do this!

But just out of curiosity, and in case it's faster to use, how and where would I access the Angela Script code list? (I'm always amazed and delighted, at my old age, to learn just how much I don't know..lol.)

Angela Script ligatures/glyphs - Zazzle

hit the Edit Design and find out which ligature/glyph(s) you wish to use. copy and paste to notepad (they will look like rectangular boxes). paste the rectangular boxes into the Zazzle design tool. the special character(s) should now look like they did in the chart.

I'm "thick as brick" but may finally be figuring out how this is done. Thanks to you WHS for the original post and for all of you adding additional information and making comments.

CHEERS!

Thank you so much for this cat! Once I spent a whole day searching this kind of list. 😀

here's the link to the collection of ligature/glyph charts for 54 script fonts on Zazzle:
Ligature-Glyph Chart for Script Fonts on Zazzle

because of differing font metrics, the special characters don't always line up correctly with the horizontal and vertical labels ... but you get the idea. 🙂

also, I suspect that a few of the script fonts have more special characters than are currently visible on the charts.

many thanks to Vivendulies for the original templates. if anyone is still in contact with her on the other PODs, please let her know that we are extremely grateful for her hard work!

THANK YOU (yes, I'm shouting LOL)  I was just thinking how long it was going to take for me to dig back through my notes to figure this out for the new fonts.  You're a hero!

Here's a chart I created a few years back and set to direct only (was based on Vivendulies tips). You can select all the characters (the grid is locked), then change the font to see what's available, double click to edit the text, then copy and paste the character (box) you want.

ETA: I see very few fonts that are quite extensive and go beyond the size of my chart so an update will be needed for the complete set.

thanks, Laura! nicely done (gosh, that must have taken hours!!)

you're welcome! 🙂 (it did, time well spent though considering how simple it is to switch, see and use!) Thank you for your list, makes it quick and easy to see which fonts to play with!

ETA: Just realized I set the royalty to 99% 🤣

@Laura Some of the fonts do indeed extend beyond the limits of your chart (which is beautiful, BTW) I used a unicode chart (https://jrgraphix.net/r/Unicode/E000-F8FF) and copy/pasted characters one at a time to see what I could find. All of the special characters live in the "private use area" which is sorta huge, so I didn't get all the way through it.

Anyhow, here's a poster with letters extending from the beginning of the private use area through character E16B - which is as far as I got before I couldn't take it anymore.

https://www.zazzle.com/nightstar_special_characters_poster-228589117554451087.

I don't have the patience to line it up all pretty like you did, but if you or anyone else wants to use this poster to get at the characters please feel free. As you can see with this particular font (Nightstar) they don't always put the stuff in there contiguously, sometimes there's a big gap - a section of characters where there's nothing, and then they start up again.

Anyhow, hope this helps somebody!

@CatThe link isn't working.

Cat

Gah! Probably it's because I created it as a hidden product and changed it to "direct only" this morning. The change probably hasn't propagated yet.

It's working now!

Thank you @Cat. 🙂 I don't have the time or patience for an update now either, especially since I need to spend unexpected time redesigning the designs affected by the font replacements. Yes, I've noticed gaps too, apparently there isn't a standard for the private use area.

I'll try your link again a bit later as it still is hidden.

This is very helpful.  Do any of them have universal swashes?  Swashes that fit all of their letters so they can be interchanged?  thanks for your help on this.

WHS_Designs

Everglow and Morgana appear to be two fonts that fit the bill.
