Proofreading a Listing

I am surprised to see that quite a few Zazzle Creators have mispelled the word WEDDING in their title, tags, or description. The misspelling gave me an idea for a series of gardening postcards and shirts, so that was cool. It also reminded me that I need to be better at my own proofreading. It's especially important as edits to our titles, descriptions and tags often do not take effect.

I thought they might be spelling it as "wadding", for people who are into quilting and patchwork.  😉

(There you go: a free idea for designs with wedding puns for people who like quilting. Lol. Only 3200 products, and none on page 1 search results with the actual word in title. Not my niche, so have at it. 👍)

Proofreading is important. My forum name of KeeganCreation is itself a typo. There should be an "s" at the end. But we can't edit forum usernames.
My favorite Zazzle typo was when the Zazzle employee who puts in the tags to highlight a chosen design theme made the exact same typo as one designer. For one golden day, that lucky designer was the only one who got featured because their misspelled tag matched Zazzle's misspelled tag.

I hate that in this new forum we can't go back and edit a post. I have an old computer and sometimes my keyboard will miss putting in a letter. I also have an old brain and sometimes I will use or instead of our or are. I don't notice until I actually reply, and then I am embarrassed.

The edit button in the dropdown box at upper right of posting box does allow us a thirty minute window in which we can edit. I would love it to be longer, but the 30 minutes is a big improvement and has been working okay for me most of the time.

For example, I just clicked edit in order to put the @randysgrandma  mention in here!

Another thing that catches me out and to watch for is the auto ending. Particularly when re-posting an item or transferring an item on to different product. I often mess up the end with a bit of text left over from the transferred item appearing.

Firefox has a spell checker that has saved my bacon any number of times, but it deals with only regular text. I have to be very careful with titles and also tags. 😞
