Zazzle President, Owners, & Executive Branches:
This message is specifically geared for top management currently holding positions within the multi-million corporation itself. *Preliminary statement/ executive idea": If you want to move towards making multi billions, please consider the following:
I have a mind of an entrepreneur. I too, am a business, & profit minded individual. Ideas come easy to me, and I'd like to give all credit to Yaweh, who gives witty inventions and wisdom to simple minded people.
Zazzle has millions of product mock ups, and not only product mock ups, but specific mock ups for each design created on this platform. Let's move now to "PlaceIt". Big idea. Huge idea. Excellent concept, & quality, highly rated & reviewed results. Currently, there is not much competition for this "niche". Yes, there are some, but we're going somewhere here.
What if Zazzle offered a three leveled "Mock Up" subscription to not only users / creators, but also to the public. Now, here's why, and here's what it might look like:
Zazzle has now recently launched and is now encouraging all creators to appropriate "Product Image Thumbs", i.e., "mock ups". This feature is now available for all users because it was found that by beta testing it, the results were found to be amazing at the value of product image presentation positively effected many attributes leading up to the end result of increased product sales all across the board.
Most creators simply do not have the time, access, or funds for such mock ups, while some simply do not enjoy or are educated on how to do this properly and successfully. While there may be some incredible, at no cost, resources on "how to " tutorials, free resources, and ect., it would be of great value and interest to this company to invest and to offer it's own "in sourced" , in house mock up platform.
Introduce three levels: silver, gold, & platinum levels, both for public and for creators.
Silver Level: b.y.o. (bring your own) images to create, upload your product mock ups manually, offer limited, free effects , texts, stickers, templates, backgrounds like Canva.
Gold Level:
Zazzle will automatically create a "pre-made template". All the creator must do is to add their text, effects, and pick from "paid" or "pro" elements to enhance their mock ups to a whole new level. You could also provide awesome background images to fit the design theme. i.e. baby, outdoors, wedding, winter, christmas, ect.
Platinum Level:
Zazzle could offer totally finished mocks and pay a really good graphics team to accomplish this, stepping into product videos like Etsy, & Ect.....while offering the silver & gold levels here in this package...

It was a good idea until you suggested the prices as you can join Canva for under $10 and get a lot more besides a mockup generator. Otherwise good idea.

Zazzle already DOES offer a "mockup generator" for many of their products- the in situ images. And it's free. But they want more unique images, which is why they want us to add our own images. Even if they had a separate paid mockup generator, the possibilities would be very limited, so it would defeat the purpose. And WHY would anyone pay $30.99 a month to do what we are currently doing right now for free- bringing our own images?!

Hello @Connie 😁
I hope you find yourself well today. I've read a lot of your thoughtful & insightful posts, suggestions, and input, and I've always found them enjoyable and very helpful.. Thank You!
I'm sorry..(smiling)...I have so many ideas running through my head every day, and sometimes I do get ahead of myself, or really don't take the time to think things through. lol..but, I am learning to wait on sharing. I'm not sure how to specifically address the "higher ups", but really, this post was targeted more towards that audience, but, wow, totally understand what you mentioned about the already available "in situ" on Z. I should have clarified more on the post, and yes, maybe I do agree those prices are a bit high...🤗
In my search for mock ups, and let me please clarify, high end, high quality, square, minimalistic, not just standard, medium quality like a lot of things that I've viewed on other sites that I will not mention. I'm really referring to maybe something most cannot visualize because it has not been created yet, so I again apologize if my vision of these mock ups was unclear. I see a lot of okay mocks out there, but nothing really ever that "wows" me, and maybe that's just my opinion, but I sure do value your opinion as well, and for taking the time to post and share.
Kindest Regards!!!

You're assuming that a Silver or Gold designer can afford $30 per month. As a current silver, that money pays my rent and not much else. As a gold it will be no different. I won't be making more money per month as a gold member; it just means I've made enough $5 margins to squeak into different levels AFTER SEVERAL YEARS. $360 would be my entire design purchase budget for 2-3 years. I can't say I'm interested in any case, because after a while, the marketplace will be saturated with custom covers and NOTHING WILL STAND OUT ANYMORE. I'm with the Amazon school of presentation - show me the product with a blank background.

I like the idea that you try to refer to a different level of decision maker’s here.
But, for me it’s not clear if this idea fits to tje main strategy of this cover images. The hardest point to get your client is not just this cover image, everything has to fit together. But to be able to manage the image that’s important for a first view is great. And I would prefer to make it for myself.
I think the different images are just decorative. Because I can’t really deal with the algorithm that lead searches to my store. I’m not happy with the sending routine at zazzle. Not at all. My own purchases are almost all with a disgusting taste. Wrong orientation of the images from side to side, extremely different sending times for every peace, even I placed one order. Useless service informations and useless stuff stress with ratings on her useless predefined answers and… I‘m affraid how often employees change at Zazzle. I’m somehow not happy if I see as a outstanding person that this employee rotation is huge.
So, would like to see more effort from Zazzle Headquarters to increase the corporate responsibility an even I realized they did something and then I would like to have a better interaction with clients and after all, don’t allow this huge impact of cover photos on the algorithm of search because it’s quite strange how you blame all fine niche designer. For my product images I would like to get a better control. It’s actually no deal to use my cover images here if I get with this image more money selling the blank cover image to others.
