The ever changing Mont-Saint-Michel and its mesmerizing bay shared by Normandy and Brittany. The mount is surrounded by vast sandbanks most of the time and becomes an island only when the tides are very high. Registered as a national historic monument since 1862. It has also been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
