Do these make a big impact on search or being seen.
I have some confusion, for example an thank you sticker or insert card for a small business, would the recipient be "Customer" or not as the person interested in buying the sticker or insert card would be a shop or business owner.
Does that make sense?
Thanks.

The age old question.....I have never found much assistance with how to make best use of these. I have spent some time exploring the categories as a shopper might. That did not help me much either. But maybe for your particular question this could be a useful exercise---browse as a shopper might.
I also do Postcrossing!

Yes, this is hard to know. For me wondering also about, wedding invitations (should it be couple or bride) and other wedding stationery when to use Couple or Newlyweds. Please let me know your thoughts. thanks

I always choose “Guests” for invitations as they will be ultimately be the recipients - not sure if this is the best option tho, definitely is open to interpretation!

The Events/Occasion & Recipient categories we can choose on the post-for-sale page correspond to what customers can choose when browsing/searching the marketplace to narrow things down.
So IF a shopper knows to use the filters to narrow down results, this is going to help in getting your product in front of the desired target. You'll still be in all results but if they narrow it down to the category you chose, you'll also be in that much smaller pool of results.
I believe this is also how they pull things for the "Gifts for Her" and "Gifts for Dads" type sections they often link to from the home page and/or main menu.
So if your product fits a specific category, definitely choose it.
