Member/Creator Profile vs Store & Stores with no Member/Creator Block ?

If you're on a product page you can click on the "by Store Name" line and get the little pop-up that shows the store banner but with the member profile pic over it. (Confusing.) Then you have a hot-link to the store home page, and the member/Creator name which is not a link.

If you go to the store home page, there's a block over on the right that shows your Member/Creator profile pic with a hot-link to your Member profile page.

And then if you go to the Member/Creator profile page, you can see all the stores the Creator chose to have visible there.

So that's the background. Tonight I happened on a store where even though it showed the "by Creator Name" in the pop up on the product page and had the Member/Creator profile pic on it, when you go to the store there's no Creator block on it thus no way to view their profile and see their other stores. Curious, I started clicking into other random stores from the MP and quite a few were like this, with no Creator block on them. It's like the member profiles are set to Private so even though you can see the name & profile pic in the little pop-up, there's no way to access the profile. Is this new? I don't remember this being a thing before.

I went through both my stores settings and my member settings and don't see anything anywhere to opt to make your member profile private or to choose not to show this block on your stores home pages. So how are people doing it?

I just had a look at mine and 'my profile thingy' is missing? I haven't done anything in this regard ..... is it a technical blip?

My profile is still public ... but couldn't see the little icon on store pages. Not sure if this has been like this a while, never noticed till Col mentioned it?
