I’ve come across something I’d like to better understand regarding pricing for 5x7 folded cards. For example, one 5x7 folded thank-you card with a 10% royalty is listed at $2.46, while another 5x7 folded greeting card with the same royalty is priced at $3.24. The cards appear to be the same size and format, yet the base price difference is quite noticeable.
If this variation reflects different cardstock quality, it would be really helpful to see that clearly noted on the product pages. Without that information, customers and creators alike may find it confusing when comparing options.
This kind of pricing inconsistency could also impact sales. Customers might hesitate to buy or favor the lower-priced item without realizing there could be differences in paper quality. It’s possible that sellers could lose sales or credibility simply due to a lack of clarity.
Would it be possible to clarify whether cardstock type plays a role in these pricing differences? Transparency here would go a long way in making the shopping experience more intuitive.

Putting Your Designs on the Correct Paper Products
It's been this way as long as I can remember.
exact same product - squared corners, semi-gloss paper type, standard printing, no envelope:
Flat 5x7 HOLIDAY card = $1.60 (add envelope for $0.13)
Flat 5x7 THANKYOU card = $1.95 (add envelope for $0.16)
Flat 5x7 INVITATION = $2.40 (add envelope at no charge)
The specs are given on the product page and they are exactly same for all three examples:
I've always assumed it's just marketing because people are willing to spend more for different things. If advertised as a wedding invite, they can charge more for it. This is why it's important to put your designs on the correct blank. They may be exactly the same physical product, but they're priced differently and marketed differently and last i knew, if you say, designed wedding invites on a cheaper blank, they won't be included when wedding invites go on sale. (This could have changed by now but it used to be the case.)
