Creating Products Very Slow, No Images Now

Is anyone else having problems making products this morning (10/23). The site has been stalling out intermittently. Now the product images are not showing in my backend or in the design tool. Just the outline of a square.

Yes, I'm seeing the same thing. I used to think it was my internet speed but we've upgraded so it's not that.
I'm guessing the techs are working overtime in the background trying to get the platform updated with all this new stuff.

it's slow in the design tool, but my product images are pulling up properly in the backend and design tool.

not that problem, but I'm having problems loading directly to Pinterest . . for several hours now.

I'm unable to upload new images, keep receiving "server error".

For several hours I had the problem where a page timed out before it loaded but it's resolved now. As PAZP notes, this is probably due to behind the scenes work prepping for digital download.
