Design Tool Constantly Freezing

All day today I've been trying to design a template on a product and over and over again the screen freezes and I get the error pop up "sorry we couldn't process your action, please try again".

Is there a work-around for this?  Nothing I try seems to work.

I see some errors in our logs. Can you share a bit more about what actions you're taking?
