Forum Bug: Posts Aren't Remaining As Read

Small potatoes in light of everything else you're working on, but it is getting a little irksome.
For about the last week now, posts I KNOW I've already read are showing up hours later as unread so the thread title is bolded with a #new on it so I think wow, the forums were really active today, but when I click into a thread, nope, I've already seen all these ... When I browse the forums I read what interests me and then always click to "mark all as read" in each forum when I am done, to make sure I have wiped everything out so to speak. This still works for the current session and for a time after, but when I come back to the forums again after work or the next morning (so 8-10 hours or so later), I'll get a bunch of random bold threads marked as having new posts even though it turns out I've already actually viewed/read all them AND "marked all as read" on my way out. This is happening in all the forums and there is no rhyme or reason I can figure as to why these threads/posts are reverting to unread status while these aren't.

I've noticed that as well. I thought I was going crazy – glad to know this is a real thing!

I’ve also noticed that.  In addition, listings that I know I’ve modified which at first showed the new modification date have rolled back to the prior dates.  Wonder if these things can somehow related (even though one issue is forum related and the other pertains to listings).

It feels like Groundhog Day. Again. And again. And again.

Not sure if this is happening to you also, but for some reason, I keep getting signed out of the forum, and while I am signed out all of the threads appear to be "unread". However, when I notice it and sign back in again, they all turn to "read" again.

@LoraSeverson that's also happened to me – but lately it's been the above.
