How Long for New Products to Show

HI. Is there a new timeframe for new products to go public? Just want to make sure I'm not having issues again. It's been three days for me. Thank you in advance 🙂

Seems like there's a problem again. The last new products of mine that have shown up in the mp or my "public" store were made on 8/17. Nothing after that.

If it’s at all possible it would be helpful if Zazzle could provide a page of timelines so creators could refer to it…

Me too. I just posted issues on another board here. I've just created the store as of Friday and cannot save my banner or my products. They show good on manager but my view public page sends me to a 404 not found page. Zazzle shows me as 55% on store scale complete.

Same 😞 

@Scott is there an indexing delay? Thanks in advance.

How is everyone testing this? Do you go to the marketplace and type in your exact title?
(because if I click thru my backend, I can see the product live in the marketplace.)

PS> Also, can someone pls tell me how the new forum works to find the "active" discussions now? For example, I commented on a Quick Create delay thread, but it doesn't pop up to the top, so how do I know that anyone, especially support even sees it?   (Sorry to post here, but wasn't sure where would be best, and at least the topic is still "published products".  Here's the thread: https://community.zazzle.com/t5/technical-issues/quick-create-products-take-a-week-or-more-to-post/m...
- I used to be able to come in the forum an easily see the "hot" or latest active discussions. I'm not sure how to do this now or how to comment so it's seen. (*thanks for any tips)

To check what is publicly viewable among your products, go to your store, click PUBLIC STOREFRONT which is found on lower right side of store banner. Click your products tab and sort by NEWEST. You would need to do this for each store you want to check.

The forums are not intended to be user friendly  for Zazzle designers, so there is no way to see active discussions easily.

My forum bookmark is this one, which shows latest conversations which have been started. https://community.zazzle.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/Explore

Then you need to check your forum notifications to see what responses have been made to topics you care about. Click on your icon upper right, and this will show you your forum notifications. I get notified there whenever a thread I have responded to gets a new response. If I want to be notified of an interesting thread. I am not commenting on, I subscribe to that thread in the options menu dropdown on the page of that thread (that's also in the upper right of the page)

You probably already know this, but to  make sure someone in particular sees your response, use the @mention as I have done here.

Thank you Scott. Looks like two of the Creators on this thread have products created after mine as public. Is it normal to see the "fix" on some accounts earlier than others?

Yeah, it's pretty normal. When we update the indexing of the site it's basically the same thing as unclogging a drain. It may take a few more hours before the indexing is caught up.

If your products are still not appearing by tomorrow morning then please link me to about five of them.

Somehow, I doubt that is technically correct. 🤔

Setting expectations is key, here. If the messaging to the users states that it may take up to 24 hours, which is what I recall seeing after posting my products, then a delay of 4 days raises eyebrows. It also may cause users a lot of wasted time trying to figure out what "we" may have done wrong.

So true. Help pages and on site pop-up messages which define expecations in realistic timing terms would be so helpful.

 I finally decided last month, to try  color grouping some items. The help page tells me this is an "up to 24 hours" process. The first products I tried to color group had not appeared properly after 48 hours, so I kept trying and trying, using my time, and gobbling up website resources. The permutations and attempts I went through to try to get this easy color grouping process to work, I could write a book about. Had I known it would take as many as more than three weeks to see my changes appear on site, I would not have fretted so much. I started the process on July 31 and am still waiting to see results in most of my attempts.

(Chiming in here to get on the subscription/notification list.)

On 8/18, I created this product (iPhone 12 Pro case). As of today (8/22) it still is not showing up in searches on the public-facing site. (below)

It *does* show up on my admin page, along with all other products I have posted as public. (far left, below)

Update: 8/22 4:00pm PDT. All five of my products are now properly being displayed on my storefront and in the general public search results. Thanks to the developers for fixing this one.

Items I created/posted yesterday (before 6 pm pacific time) are showing in my public store today.

Problem is solved for me: products created before sunday are now showing in the markeplace.

FYI, it's not fixed for everyone. A few of my products appeared today but anything of mine created 8/19 or later is still not showing up.

The ones I made after the 20th started to appear, but the ones I made on the 19th, have yet to appear. I guess, we should still wait a little longer, and not re-post them?

Unfortunately, it can be quite difficult to determine when the process will be caught up again, or how products will be processed. You're welcome to start posting Product IDs in the discussion...maybe limit it to 10 products for now. That will give me something to keep an eye on as the day progresses
