Issue Re REGULAR Affiliate Referrals when PINNED - No Referral ID ?

Our affiliate links shared re social media still go to the 'landing page' ( not our store page they were shared from)

However (now I am out of the P2 program) my referral ID is now automatically added again when sharing products (as it should be).

Re Pinterest

I just shared a product

This is the link I get from a pin

https://www.zazzle.com/espanol_invitacion_de_boda_summer_floral_wedding_i_invitation-256822371851484...

My affiliate code is none existent?

It is however present re items shared to Twitter

https://www.zazzle.com/budget_starry_night_navy_gold_wedding_invitation-256968159427687488?rf=238065...

It also works when sharing to Facebook - so seems to just be Pinterest?

Is this a Pinterest issue or a Zazzle issue?

Thanks

Note I pinned something to Pinterest for a different affiliate program (not Zazzle) and the referral ID remained in tact when clicked through from Pinterest.

I've tried to follow this discussion, but it's a bit confusing for me. Sorry if these seem like dumb questions ... are you saying you are back to the 15% referral structure with your attached rf code? Does linkover history have something to do with this decision?

I've been getting 1000s of linkovers but very few referrals. I'm just not sure if linkovers are accurate for me.

This is related to sharing to Pinterest from Zazzle with own referral ID attached.

Has anyone else noticed an issue when checking Pinterest links?

I just checked some of mine that were created recently. The link looks correct (has the rf)

  • before the pin is created,
  • in the hover within the pin, and
  • clicking on it from Pinterest opens a zazzle.com url with the rf parameter

Thank you for checking for me, to confirm it doesn't resemble my link with the EPIk tracking info etc. and no referral ID?

Happy to help. The link from Pinterest is plain vanilla ending with the ?rf=nnnnnn

It seems like the epik parameter is created by Pinterest. (I don't really understand this page, but maybe it will make more sense to you - something to do with ad tracking?)

Yes all my Pins come with this Epik ( Pinterest) tracking code

Hi @CreativeLeahG,

Are you just using the share option to place your items on your Pinterest? I tried this and get a regular-looking link when i start a new session and go back to the product on Z. Have you added a third party tracking app to Pinterest?

Thank you for your patience!

Thank you Padraig,

I'm not adding anything extra, just the regular sharing from Zazzle. I shared someone else design to Pinterest just now and the link back from Pinterest to Zazzle also shows no referral code.

Thank you for confirming and for the examples. Thanks for your patience while we look into it.
