Notifications have gone haywire

My notifications (the bell, I have emails turned off) have been all over the place for the past week or so. Some days I won't receive any new notifications, despite new sales. Other days, it will alert me to sales from 2-3 days ago, or will skip around and just show some sales rather than all of them.

For instance, on the 18th I received one notification, despite multiple sales. It skipped yesterday's sales entirely, then today I got one random notification. I've also had a few stretches where the red notification dot was just frozen in place, no matter how many times I clicked the bell or refreshed my browser.

Have notifications gone completely haywire for anyone else?

I believe we only send notifications about sales once the product is sent into production. That's why there's a somewhat inconsistent delay with order-related notifications. We understand that this isn't a perfect solution, especially if you're already monitoring your Earnings page on a daily basis. Unfortunately, there are some orders that are placed that end up being cancelled (quality issue, content violation, customer request, etc) and so sending an immediate notification when orders are placed would end up meaning that we notify Creators about orders that are later cancelled. Ultimately, there's no real perfect solution here.

If you have ideas on how we can improve this then we're all ears. Ultimately, we do want these notifications to be helpful for Creators!

Ah, interesting. I monitor the Earnings page 2-4 times/day and honestly didn't notice the wild inconsistencies until about two weeks ago, when the notifications began behaving strangely.

As for ideas, I'd love to be able to opt out/turn the bell notification off entirely; as it stands, I'm not sure it really adds anything, and it's frustrating when the bell gets "stuck" with a red notification that cannot be removed, even with multiple clicks or refreshing the browser.

I'd also like the option to turn off or opt out of receiving notifications for 'likes,' and perhaps just list these elsewhere (maybe in the followers tab?) instead. As far as I can tell, the likes aren't really an actionable item or anything that correlates to sales, so there really isn't a need for immediate notification.

Thanks, @Scott!
