Product Image Download (current view) not working exactly as expected

If I'm wanting to download a product for the purpose of creating a cover image and lets say a paper product of mine that has rounded corners and I attempt to download the product art in it's currently viewed form (rounded corners) the system will only download it with squared off corners instead of rounded corners.

Can this be fixed, please

I doubt this is a bug - I think the paper cut is considered part of the product not the artwork, so it's only included in the mockup download not the artwork. So if you want the cut included in your cover you have to download the mockup and remove the background yourself.

As has been mentioned before, it would be great if we could get a mockup with a transparent background so we wouldn't have to cut it out - would be especially nice for things more complex than paper products.

Thank you for your reply. I am a bit disappointed to see this as the only current solution to this issue. And when you are under pressure to create cover images for our products which is time consuming enough... and I'm not complaining but it is what it is but this just makes the task that much more complicated and creates extra steps. I guess until we get back to the availability of isolated png's I'm going to be skipping my designs that have rounded corners.

If ever there was a feature that needs to be brought back to life the isolated product images could be a real time saver.

Don't know what design program you use. I use GIMP (I'm too cheap for PhotoShop) and GIMP has a feature where once you've gotten the thing selected to cut out the background, you can save the selection as a path so that you can re-use it over and over on each product mockup you download and not have to perform the selection each time.

The folks who use PhotoShop have been doing something similar with masks - GIMP has masks too, but I'm not sure if they work the same way as they do in PhotoShop. Anyhow, they've been sharing them so they don't have to do them all by hand, so you might want to check out this thread to see if there's anything useful in there for you: Re: Share your tools for creating cover photos - m... - Zazzle

Side note to you both: I have been a long time user of GIMP also (subscription payments for ANYthing I avoid like the plague), but have recently started using Photopea which is a FREE online photo editing that is very much like Photoshop and has more features than GIMP (I cannot abide GIMP’s text tool that doesn’t seem to have had any updates for numerous versions). Photopea also has the ability to create Smart Objects and has many of the “fancy” editing tools that use AI.
