I am hoping to get a little clarification... I have a fair number of products that use distressed fonts and symbols, many of which I have noted are no longer available. Those fonts have not, at least yet, been automatically replaced on my products. Will they eventually be? or will some existing products be allowed to stay as is, but we simply won't be able to create new products with those fonts? Will it make a difference if the product has previously sold? For most if not all of these, no 'new' corresponding font was added and the fonts that remain would not be great replacements. Most of what I have seen is that the products are thus far unchanged... however at least one previews properly, but is super messed up in the design tool... all of the distressed/symbol fonts have been replaced with what looks like Goudy Roman, or some similar serif font.
The fonts in question that I have noticed to this point..
Shortcut
Chic Decay
Sugar Plums bonus
Nail Scratch
Steak
Downcome
Rockshow Whiplash
Horsepuke
Hardrock
Diesel
Anthology
Disgusting Behavior
Also.... how do I know which of my products are affected. I may not be the most prolific designer, but I do have around 7,500 products spread over 5 stores... If I have to check each product individually it seem likely I will miss some..

I can create a new invitation from an old one with discontinued font and the font still shows without error messages. Is this a bad idea and will it be replaced by something possibly disagreeable or what do we need to do with this?
Looks like there is space for a much better communication. Also the courtesy of a response to PenguinPower's post would be nice. Thank you.

I would appreciate at least an acknowledgement... Even if it is simply, that there is not yet a firm answer. So far this isn't a pressing issue. Nothing has changed, as far as I can tell, with the products in question, but I would like to be prepared and even get ahead of this if it will, as it will affect a large number of products in one of my stores.

Yes, please bring this back if possible. Many of my products use these symbol fonts.

The entire Blooming Elegant font family is gone. This affects so many designs, because it was one of the only fonts that you could get the ligatures on, and it was thin enough to look good with some designs. A lot of us designed around this font family specifically in a lot of our designs and this abrupt removal is stressful. The replacement font for the Blooming Elegant Script is Morgana and it is NOT similar enough to justify it. I'm scared to see what sans serif has replaced it on some of my designs, I have yet to look as I just noticed this happened today when looking to use the font... because I specifically chose that font for a reason and we didn't get any new sans serif fonts yet. I am pretty unhappy about this...

I believe the replacement for Blooming Elegant Sans is Dongle. In my designs, at least, they made it all caps so it looks vaguely similar - and thankfully, I've only used it incidentally. Dongle has a decidedly "comic sans" look though - which is a taboo font in a lot of circles so I'm not sure how great it is as a replacement.

In lieu of Dongle (which I am not that fond of), I am using Futura Medium.

I used BE SS a lot and they have all been replaced by Dongle and they all look fine. I have actually been using Dongle for new designs because it's the only font I can see that has a remotely similar look and feel to BE SS. But now you've mentioned the comic sans I can see that... and ugh I hate comic sans! Now I need to go find another replacement.
