Text Fields corrupt

when I create an invitation I always choose to have the text field as large as I can to accomodate for customer longer text/names. (awhile back the default from zazzle was the entire width of the product  print area - that  apparently went away) - in any case it's now sort of a pain to make sure the text fields are the width you want them.. Only to have zazzle default them back to just fit the sample text - Please stop doing this.   now I am seeing a new issue,  when I have created  separate lines in a text box.. zazzle is defaulting it to one line, I have a sample image showing what I mean -

zazzle backend text tool issue Aug 22.jpg   It did this to all the text boxes - I just circled the one to show - I ended up having to recreate the entire  product.  very time consuming.     😞

What I see when I look at the products above is that the text fields are not full width, however when I type in a very lengthy line of text the text box will still expand out to the safe area of the design before wrapping onto the next line. So I don't see any real issue there.

Why are we not showing the text box at full width? I'm not totally sure...I'd have to ask. But, personally, I've always felt that showing these text boxes at full-width was really bad for user experience (for customers) because it makes adjusting the design pretty difficult (at the least, it's annoying). You need to move the text somewhere else, then reposition the images underneath the text, then move the text back, then you realize you want to nudge the image underneath the text again, so repeat the whole process... This is one of my biggest personal gripes with mobile app usage, to be honest. So, showing the text box around ONLY the existing text helps out a bunch with the user customization flow (I'm intentionally ignoring that some Creators lock these sorts of elements). On the other hand, as a Creator you may want better control over where text appears on the design, so showing the full-width text box might be handy. I understand that. But bottom line is that we don't offer this level of granular control today, and customers can adjust the text in 1,000 ways as is. So as of now it's difficult to say whether this is a bug or a user experience improvement (for customers). I'll see what I can find.

With regards to the multi-line text object being shown on the same line, I can't reproduce that at all. If you can provide me with some steps that cause the multi-line text to appear on the same line then please let us know. That's not a good thing.

I am not able to reproduce this issue. Can you point me to a product that exhibits this behavior?

thank you

All of my invitations I make I stretch the text field to the edges of the print area to allow for additional lettering by the customer.. somehow  these (and more) decided to  default to the exact length of the  text itself.

I can remember a few years ago  the default was edge to edge text fields, without us having to stretch it ourselves.

I work on a PC .. and anything at all  you want to move or resize if it is on a lower layer you need to be able to grab the box  - if it's inhibited by anything above it you need to hide it first .. that's with everything in the layers ..as long as the  shortened boxes allow for longer text to actually be  used without causing an issue - that's fine. (I could swear before,  when I had left  a few templates with the shorter boxes.. when I played with the personalization of them  from the customer's side, they  didn't play well.. going to the next line in a few  added characters..)  I will see how things  go.. without stretching the text lines every time.

The multi-line text thing happens sporadically .. currently  on the new product it's not doing it again, but next time it does I will post the link..  thanks for the help!
