General Link Question

I don't know if links ever really worked but with the new program do I have to change all my personal web page links? They number in the high thousands. I am more concerned with the links I have on main pages to everything. Also the links I use with traffic exchanges do they have to be changed. Most links go to collections and store fronts. If I do have to change them how do I change them?  Maybe I should just get rid of the site, like I said not many referrals over the years and I am paying over 200 a year to keep it up.

@kashmier

Just delete your ?rf or &rf from your personal web page products/shop links. It takes time, I had to do it with thousands, was not fun. Also remember to do the same with any others such as Benable, Etc.

If you leave them as is, with the newly named Ambassador Program, you will lose money on every potential sale.

To make my previous reply more clear, I am not suggesting you either remove your code or leave it, that's up to you. Just pointing out that if you leave the links as is with your rf code attached, you will make alot less on each product sold from those links. The choice is up to you, carefully read the new royalty schedule and how it is now applied to help you make your decision.

You asked how to change the links, I replied as to how I changed them. Hope that helped you.

It all depends on what type of links you are referring to and what your personal goal/motivation was for them?

IMO, there is no reason for anyone to change any pre-existing links they've shared on x, y, or z platform.

If you previously shared a link with your RF# included, you had a reason for that. (Because you were/are then eligible for earning a 15% referral commission on anything a clicker might buy.)

If you previously shared a link without your RF# included, you had a reason for that. That means you were in the "Promoter Program" and were gambling on people buying just your own products(s) wherein you'd earn a higher referral commission but no commission at all on anything they bought that wasn't yours.

People in the "Promoter Program" always had the choice of which type of link to use. Now that we are all in the Promoter Program (now changed to being called the "Ambassador Program"), we all have the choice of which type link to use.

Which type link one uses is a very personal choice depending on one's own motivations & goals & willingness to gamble and where they are sharing etc..... So noone can really say which is the best type of link for you (or anyone else) to use. Just know that, if you shared thousands of RF links before, you had a reason for that and all those links will work just as they did before, earning you 15% referral commission on anything a visitor might buy, even if not your own product.

I have been using my referral code for 15 years and make about two referrals a year. Maybe more but I have never made more than .36 cents on volume bonus, most months 0.00.  So this makes me think it has never really been working as I have entered thousand of links for each of the following - my page, three plus traffic exchanges, facebook, pinterest, linkedin, tumblr ,   and a few in between and now Benable. Oh one of my favorites was Polyvore because I was able to make awesome icons.  But all I want to do is get some referrals. Seems like I have made more lately but I am still not sure I am using the correct link. I just want to make referrals. Again not sure what the link was but I made my commission, and almost three times the commission as referral payment - what kind of link would do that to my own product?  That is the one I want to use all the time.  Just hoping to get it right.   Thanks

@kashmier   Upfront: I love your website - kudos to you!! 🙂

I second what Col said. And I personally will continue to use the RF links on my own site (https://sanfrancisco.zone/) and on Social Media. Why? Because I rather get 15% of something then more of nothing (so to speak). I started my store on Zazzle in November of 2023. And like you I didn't make many referrals (14 in total of which one was a tester, 12 where at 15% and one at 33%. Did I make the webhosting fees back? No. But I will press on with my site using the RF links.

On a site note: For your Cannabis / Kratom Shop it doesn't matter what links you use because nobody will ever see those listings. Zazzle's Rating Filter is broken (I learned that the hard way too, sigh).

Dear Zazzle - please fix that because it's broken for over a year now. 😞
