18lb tissue paper

Rena

I am about to panic because when I searched 18lb tissue paper it says it is not found.

I know that they have changed the sizes but if can't create on 18lb that will hurt the decoupage creators drastically.

What are they thinking? Please tell me they are not discontinuing the 18lb.

thank you

Rena

@Rena 18lb tissue paper still available

Sara_H_0-1752836327455.png

it's just the old sizes have been discontinued

Sara_H_1-1752836352534.png

Start your design on the 10lb - then change it over in either the design tool or product merchandising - change options

If I go into the design tool, I then have to click on sell it, again, and I lose all statistics, right?

Where is this located on the product page, I can't find this, (product merchandising) - are you saying that each design where we go on the page listing at the top and click for the (change options) to fix this. Then that will have to be done to every single design. I have over 3500.

I can't believe that they are not removing the old listing sizes to correct the problem.

I thank you for your help very much.

@Rena  You can change options in the "edit details"

Sara_H_0-1752837891504.pngSara_H_1-1752837907314.png

on the product page - edit details

Sara_H_2-1752837943271.png

then product merchandising - then change options - change it to whatever weight/ size then press done

edited to add - they've auto changed them to the new sizes - no need to remake and lose stats  (though check your collections don't link out to the old sizes)

OH MY this is going to be huge overtaking to get done. I have very serious health issues. Just so disappointed in all of this.

thank you so much for your help.

AGAIN the best solution would be for Z to remove the old sizes.

Rena
Contributor II

Well you can't do that today. I am so upset. Everything I open is showing sold out. Good grief what are they doing to us. I can't fix them even in the options. I can't fix 3400 designs. Who in the world do I talk to. I am just sick.

Sara_H
Honored Contributor III

@Rena Yes you can fix it. It will take time but doable.

Sara_H_0-1753039527894.png

eg - if you look at these two tissues  from this collection https://www.zazzle.com/collections/hot_days_of_summer-119157187989612922 - one has a white background -and one has a grey one.

The white background is the old size (20 x 30 -discontinued size ) and the grey background is the new size (21 x 29)

click through from the collection on only the ones with the white backgrounds - then press "add to collection" and press " show selected only"

Sara_H_1-1753039736194.png

then press remove

Sara_H_2-1753039778430.png

Edit details on the tissue (product merchandising/change options) to make sure the correct size you want

then add to collection again (the collection you just removed it from will be at the top)

Just work your way though your collections.

It is not removing the discontinued sizes.

Rena

It doesn't matter what I do those other sizes are not going away. I am just sick.

Sara_H

@Rena follow my directions and they will update (source - me - been there - done that)

Rena

The crazy thing is yesterday I check a bunch of them and everything was fine. This is a total nightmare. I have done everything. I removed from the collection I have changed the options, I have changed the .lb and size on the listing, I have added back into the collection and clicked on the show only and if I refresh or go to the page collection and refresh and open the discontinued papers are still there.

Sara_H

@Rena  link me to the collection that you have updated with the correct sizes

@Rena

Sara_H_0-1753046165624.png

the top three have been updated to the new sizes (see the grey background?) and another 5 further are showing updated. You just need to do the other 52

Sara_H_0-1753046496873.png

it looks like there's more if you scroll along the "other products in this collection" which makes me think the collections are taking a while to update

Rena

But the discontinued papers are still showing and if someone clicks on that it reverts back. Am I making sense. It isn't going away. Once I correct everything if I refresh it all reverts back to the old papers and says sold out.

@Rena when you remove it from the collection - and edit details on the product page. Do you refresh the product page before you add it back to the collection?

Rena

@Sara_H     I open design. Remove from collection. Change the .lb and size. Readd to collection. Check show only.

When I refresh the main collection page and open one that I have done the above all of the discontinued papers are still there. I changed all of these https://www.zazzle.com/collections/faith_based-119857027104696793

@Rena Congrats! These are all updated to new sizes bar one for me (the lion at the very bottom)

Sara_H_1-1753088069402.png

(see the grey backgrounds)

and when I click through to one - they are in stock and not discontinued

Sara_H_2-1753088182851.png

Rena

@Sara_H

from my calculations. I think this is totally ridiculous with todays technology that we are having to correct every single one. BUT on ward and up ward and again thank you for your help.

Rena

  • Total Designs
      : 3,400
    • Rate: 10 designs per 5 minutes
    • Time per Design: 0.5 minutes

    Total Time = 3,400 × 0.5 = 1,700 minutes

    Which equals:

    • 28 hours and 20 minutes
    • Or roughly 3.5 full workdays if you don’t take breaks

Sara_H

@Rena  Yep it's a grind. But you designed those 3400 - so you have to look after them with love ❤️

Rena

@Sara_H

@Sara_H  I have rechecked many of the collections I have redone and they are still showing the discontinued papers when you click on size. That should be gone by now.

I have looked at several others and when you click on a design the discontinued is no longer visible as a choice on theirs but still showing up on mine. I tried calling yesterday but was on wait for over an hour. I will call again today because this has got to be fixed. All it will take is people clicking on the ones that are discontinued and it will revert right back. This is a lot of stress and my sales have plummeted due to this. The frustration for me is there should be a simplified way for Zazzle to remove the discontinued size papers. But again I do thank you for your help.

Thank you

I've been trying to follow along but not really sure I understand the issue you're having. But looking at this random Collection of yours, all of the papers in I click on show this.

ColsCreations_0-1753194935866.png

Really strange that they don't have a size selected as you have to select a size when publishing. But once I select a size - any size in either 10# or 18# - the Discontinued message goes away and all is fine (except they all have white space where design doesn't fill the whole area). Don't know if this helps you or the Mods/Techs, but I'm not seeing this happen on any of my tissues or any randomly browsing the MP category. So it does seem something weird is going on with yours that there is somehow no size set on them.

@ColsCreations  If you click on the 10lb stlyle option it resets and then you can change to to 18lb

Just done it with one out of the same collection

https://www.zazzle.com/field_of_beautiful_flowers_with_daisies_decoupage_tissue_paper-25673149231634...

They need to reset within the collection as discussed with Rena (eg - edit details/change options/ remove and re-add to collection - not sure that they will auto update without designer intervention)

edited to add - if it's been set as "this style only" on the old sizes  (due to the artwork not totally filling the paper) perhaps that could be the reason they're not changing over?)

Rena
Contributor II

@Sara_H   & @ColsCreations

before they did this all of my papers filled the complete paper. This didn't happen until they changed the sizes. I am so frustrated. I have tried calling but on hold for ever. I have sent an email and they haven't answered yet.

I am at a loss on what to do.

My process is 1. open collection 2. open about 4 designs up in new urls. 3. remove from the collection 4. Click resize to the largest one and that and the .18lb change 5. readd to collection 5. show only and close url 6. refresh main collection page.

Sara_H
Honored Contributor III

@Rena before you re-add it to the collection make sure to refresh the product page so that the new size has stuck before you add it back in to the collection.

Yes it is a pain when your artwork no long fits (it happens) You're options are:

1 - edit the design so that it fills the whole page and re-post for sale *unless you have the replace feature - not all designers do) then add that size to your collection

Sara_H_0-1753201745369.png

(if you hadn't had used the crop feature - you wouldn't have had any issues with the white edges - the artwork would have been fine and filled the new size perfectly. There's no need to use crop imho)

2. do nothing and leave the edges as they are

I don't see the discontinued sizes only the new ones on your listing

but on mine - the discontinued sizes still show

Sara_H_1-1753202171843.png

so I think it depends who the owner is on whether they see the discontinued sizes in the dropdown

Rena
Contributor II

@Sara_H I didn't crop anything...I am just blown away with all of this....Literally bawling. I don't know what to do. SO everything that I have redone is not right either.

Sara_H
Honored Contributor III

@Rena perhaps Z auto crops it? When I went into the design tool - it was cropped (original artwork was square - is that right?)

Rena
Contributor II

NO I had sizes exactly that fit the old papers sizes for landscape and for portrait mode. I never had any square at all.

Rena
Contributor II

When I listed those they are 22.5 x 30 for portrait sizes to fit the old papers

My landscapers were 30 x 20 and everything fit perfectly in the old designs.

If you look at the design NOW it is sideways not up and down.

I never had square for anything of my designs. I don't know why that is how up that way.

Sara_H
Honored Contributor III

@Rena they have since changed the way orientation works on the tissue paper.  There's the option in the tool bar to change it to portrait (rather than rotate it 90)

before

Sara_H_0-1753205692268.png

after (had to rotate artwork then set to "fill" to fill the page)

Sara_H_3-1753205907282.png

Sara_H_1-1753205728225.png

when it's used this way, the paper is viewed correctly on the product page and not sideways

Sara_H_2-1753205754843.png

Not sure what happened with the orientation of portrait tissue papers when they transfered it to the new sizes  -everybody's portrait tissue paper is showing sideways (unless there's a mockup that overrides it)

It has been reported in Technical Forum

https://community.zazzle.com/t5/technical-issues/tissue-paper-orientation/m-p/212436

There's no time frame stated  - it's been passed over to the engineering team

Sara_H

@Rena  where did you get link from? it's still showing the old size (20 x 30)

Rena
Contributor II

With the new sizes I don't have that option to make it portrait. That is the old way it looks because I haven't done anything to it. Everything went sideways when they did that. This is still the old one but I clicked on the picture on the bottom of the page now so that to show you this is how they are suppose to be.

Rena

@Sara_H now what is going to happen when they purchase them thinking the design is suppose to be to the edge and it isn't. I am loosing sales because people think that I am out of stock. Sweet LORD... what a mess.

Sara_H

@Rena  I saw that @James was looking into what went wrong with your tissue paper. Hopefully he'll come up with a way forward

I tried searching it too and all it's showing is 10 lb.Screenshot_20250718-070348.png

I am not happy about this. Why in the world would they do this?

Me either. I honestly don't understand a lot of their decisions lately. Seems a bit foolish.
