Annoying Caps On Caps Off Notification

This just started today. I am wondering if this is something Zazzle decided I need or if Microsoft has decided I need this. If it is Zazzle, please make it stop. If it is someone else, I will send an SOS to my computer guru.

I thought it was just me and it's driving me crazy. I thought something weird was happening with my computer which isn't even a year old. I don't know if it's Zazzle or Microsoft, but it's certainly annoying. Plus, it's not accurate. It tells me caps are off when they're on and on when they're off. Once I get rid of the text box and start again it seems to be okay, so maybe it is Zazzle? I don't know, but I agree, if it is, please make it stop ASAP!

The laptop I Zazzle on is kept pretty pristine to avoid these wonky issues. No ad blockers, browser extensions etc. It happened over night, so it is probably some ridiculous update.

i am still on Windows 7 . . . I must like taking risks but not having the latest problems.

I'm pretty sure it must be Microsoft. I'm working on a website for my husband's music, and the caps on/off notification is happening to me there, too. I hate it, too! Once I have some time I'm going to have to research and see if there is any way to shut it off.

Thank you for the feedback. An update must have happened somewhere. This just started yesterday, so I wonder who decided I was a 5 year-old that can manage my caps.

@Sara_H OK... first you've got this uncanny ability (bordering on otherworldly ESP) which somehow allows you to decipher completely opaque and unintelligible questions, and now it appears that you also possess some sort of transcendental Google Foo! How do you charm these sorts of answers from the interwebs? WHO ARE YOU?!?!?!? 😘 😊 🤔 😁

google search "how to fix caps on/off notification" there are at least a page of solutions and suggestions. Possibly one of them will fit/solve your problem.

I don't have time for this nonsense. There are only so many hours in the day. As soon as the computer wizard can fit me in, I'll have him fix it.

My computer wizard just fixed this remotely. HP did do an update that caused this on the 25th. He sent this link so I could post it here. For those of you who are moreconfident than I am of dealing with computer issues. HP adds a Caps Lock On notification to Windows 11, but you can disable (windowslatest.com)
