Anyone else unable to choose desired view when posting?

I am hoping this is a Beta Test that will GO AWAY (Please Zazzle).

This has been an on-and-off thing in the last week (I thought I had started a thread here, but search does not find it). The main product view will show on product page with the note
"Tap / click on image to see more RealViewsTM" below.

This is somewhat OK on published products. However, when posting we need to be able to choose which image to show the customer. Here is link to the current item that showed this - I was unable to choose the notebook with closed cover on top of open book, to show the inside pages that I chose.

The other day when posting a comment about this, when I went back to product page, it had reverted to the "old" set up. Today it did not. The edit/product options shows the same, with no way to change the views.

If someone finds an earlier post by me, about this topic ... HOW did you find it?

I’m using the Brave browser and when I don’t use a wide enough window I don’t see the three options. But if I expand the width of the window I see all three. I don’t know if this is the cause on other browsers.

I'm able to choose the preview I want as I publish, and that preview seems to stick when it shows up in the back end at least. BUT, if I add it to a collection, I have to add it from the back end and NOT from the product page in order for that preview to appear in the collection. Not sure if that's the same problem you're having or not. The other thing is that indexing is WAY behind - like 5 days or so, at least on views. Maybe that's a contributing factor to whatever's happening?

Oh, and I totally suck at finding old posts too, but you can search from this page: Creators | Zazzle Community (which you can get to by clicking on the "Creators" link where the drop down is to get to the individual boards.) Also, if you click on your forum profile (which you can get to by clicking on your name in your post, or by choosing "My Profile" from the dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the screen when you click on your avatar) that will bring up a list of all the topics you have started. That sometimes helps me find things, though I don't think that list includes comments you made on posts that somebody else started - so it's only marginally helpful.

@BKMuir

I couldn't find your first post, either.

I tested the product view issue across two different product types so far ... and the view I selected does stay after posting (sorry!)

@WHS_Designs @Cat

I open my product page and ONLY see the First "default" image. I MUST click on that image to see any other views that Zazzle makes available. I can NOT choose one of these views from there to make it my product default, nor can I change to another view after publishing.

As I mentioned, this has been off-and-on for the last week. Today it seemed to want to stay on. When I re-log in I hope it is gone!

NOTE: I had turned off my computer and done something else for 20 minutes. I just clicked on my product in the original post and was able to see the alternate views on the left side. I certainly hope it stays this way. Now I have to go back to the several things I posted earlier and try to change the views. 🙄

@BKMuir

just throwing it out there -- it sounds like some technical tinkering under the hood may have (inadvertently) caused this behavior to happen to a handful of creators (I can't see it being a beta test).

hopefully the issue will be resolved for you soon!

How very strange. If it's of any comfort, when I go to the product page on your notebook I'm able to see all three views.

Hi @BKMuir,

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing please? I cannot recreate this on my end. Thanks!

I am able to see all 3 views in the sidebar when I click your link. Hopefully this was a glitch and not a beta test. It seems like it would be in conflict with encouraging us to upload cover photos unless designer upload would be the default when available.

This verbiage does sound like a beta.  "Tap / click on image to see more RealViewsTM"below." But I thought the whole point of designer uploaded cover photos was to get some variety in the MP. If they make uploaded cover photos a default and use a different default in the absence of a cover photo then there will be increased uniformity, especially for products where cover photos are less common because they are more difficult.

That sounds like the mobile browser feature. On both my phone and my ipad, I only see one image, and I have to tap on it to see the rest. But on my computer, I get the regular view with the other images on the left side. Could your browser somehow have set itself to show a mobile view?

That makes sense. Since I only access Zazzle through a laptop I forget how mobile has a completely different layout because of the small narrow screen.

@PAZP  Very interesting. I have had to change from a desktop to a laptop, but I am using an external monitor, so I didn't even think of possible ramifications. I just tried enlarging, shrinking the page and YES, that is the ANSWER (will so mark it).

Thank you -- Bonnie

Glad that was helpful.

Do not like the new:  "Tap / click on image to see more RealViewsTM" below" that I've been seeing under my store product image pictures recently.

As stated below, the SOLUTION is marked - Thanks to PAZP -- widen your screen view and it should work.
