Are printers aloud to change your designs?

Hi,

Are printers, the people "making" our products, allowed to change your designs? So confused.

I designed a block ornament and 2 of my pictures were not what the design is. They made them bigger, cutting the picture. I wanted them small, whole, and white around them just like I designed it. I would like to know why?

I designed a card, and they took out the snow flakes on the inside were the writing is. I wanted them there on purpose. It is my design, not what printers think the design should be!! lol Why did they take them out?

Also that order only came with 2 envelopes for 3 cards.

I am making do, but was just wondering if others have had this issue, does it happen often?

If so, I give credit to the customer service department. Kudos to them!

Thank You.

Thanks,

Do not have time to bother with replacing the ornaments. Picked up a spare envelope at Walgreens.

Just want to know why what I designed was changed. The original is still in my store. Just confused.

Have you considered/and checked to verify whether or not you locked your images? If not locked, possibly a customer can theoretically alter the size, location and otherwise change your product to suit themselves. So it may not have been done by zazzle but instead done by a customer.

Thank You,

They were designed by me and only used by me, listed as hidden

How are you able to know what the product looks like and that it's not the same as the way you designed it?

Pinterest and Me. We're a thing again.

The way I designed it is still in my store hidden product. The notification for it showed the change, receiving the product has the change.

I understand now. I had not realized you yourself ordered this. Did you get any satisfactory answer from customer service? I have not yet ordered anything for myself since about 2006,  and certainly do not wish to do so, ever, if it won't be printed as designed.

Was this something you, yourself, ordered? Or was it something a customer ordered?

I designed, I ordered.

@our-porch, I just re-read your initial post and saw that you apparently ordered the products yourself and that is why you were able to see the faults in the products. If that is correct, then what I posted earlier is not relevant to your situation. So, back to the drawing board for me, and hoping that you get answers from zazzle that make sense. And that you get replacement products that are made correctly.

Did you check to see if your entire design was within the "safe" lines? A lot of people go over the lines and can be disappointed when part of a design outside the lines doesn't print.

the design area has changed somewhat, and you now have to take your design OUTSIDE of the green edge in order for it to fully cover the area now. I go by the preview as I design it, as the preview seems to be the most accurate way to get the effect I want. I do this with everything and esp wrapping paper, to get the seam the way I wish, same as for leggings etc. I did commrent about this in technical, but no one seemed to understand ..I am not so good at being succinct I guess! 🙂 🙂 hope this is of some help in the future.
