Automated Response On Follow To Follower

On following someone I sometimes notice a thank you message or the like from the store owner and I'm wondering how that is done?

You can set up an auto message to come from your shop when someone follows you. Go to you main profile - then settings - then advanced settings. Scroll down and you'll see "personal messages to your customers". Fill in whatever message you'd like your customers to receive when they follow, add to cart, purchase etc.

And another question in this same area... there is one that says you can add a a personal thank you when someone adds your product to their cart.  Where does that message appear for the customer?  I can find no evidence that this is working??
