Best Direction to Grow a Strong Business

New to Zazzle and building a store.  What are the most important steps to follow in order to be a successful store and image on Zazzle?  I can't imagine the amount of designers within this platform.  What makes the good ones good?  Is there some good rules of thumb that has helped you move forward faster rather than slower.

Thx!

I'll give it a shot. It's something I don't even do myself because I don't want to but the headliner stores all do: thematic consistency. Something I have notices about headliner stores (which I define as one that has products on multiple first product pages) is that they choose a theme and stick to it. If they have delicate designs aimed at women they don't suddenly break that theme with a color popping fractal design. If they have lighthearted hand drawn designs they don't throw in a stark, minimalist design in black and gold.

I don't do this because I think customers rarely visit my store so I feel ok with putting watercolors (faux Photoshop watercolors) right next to hard edged vector designs right next to blindingly bright fractals because I bought a fractal program for fun. I reserve thematic consistency for my collections.

But these headliner stores, I suspect, need to keep thematic consistency because they have an off-Zazzle presence that goes well beyond Pintrest so customers really are going through their stores. It would look weird if they had thematic inconsistency. This is just a guess.

ZAZKAT Thanks for your prompt response to my questions regarding integrating a Zazzle site with a WIX site. I took the liberty of copying some links that you can use to get the information you need regarding building your Zazzle store. You will need to copy and paste the first link into your browser search bar. I tested the integrity of the link and it did work.

That all having been stated, I would like to make some suggestions about how you can build a strong following and presence on Zazzle.

I despise the term "branding" as it is overused. However branding is how you will be able to stand out in the midst of multitudes of other artists, designers and shopkeepers both on and off Zazzle.

Use the same colour palettes (schemes) and at least 2 logos across all of your Zazzle store pages, website/blog and social media pages. Consistency is key to cultivating trust in prospective shoppers of your Zazzle store and products. Think of a company like Coca Cola. Everyone knows who and what Coca Cola is based upon their logos, graphics, colour palettes etc. The same is true for McDonalds. The M logo with the golden arches is ubiquitous with McDonalds.

You can streamline this process by choosing at least 3 to 5 colours for your brand. You will also need to design or have someone design at least 2 logos that represent who and what your Zazzle store is.

Concentrate on niche marketing. Meaning know who your prospective customers are and what products they may be searching for. Think of what appeals to you and how brands capture your interest.

This is a rather broad topic.

The Designer/Associate Guide which is downloadable in the Zazzle HELP section I feel will answer some of your questions regarding growing a profitable Zazzle business.

I tried to be as succinct and barebones as possible without being too vague or general.

I hope the input I am giving you is helpful. Should you have further questions or need for me to elaborate further please respond to this post.
