Claiming a website on Pinterest

Good morning,

Has anyone claimed their Zazzle shop website on Pinterest?  If so, did you do that without a Wordpress account?  Thank you.

Are you asking if you can claim your zazzle store url as your website on Pinterest? if so, because Zazzle owns your store's url, simply add your Zazzle store url to the website field and it will be there in your profile.

If you own your own website just follow the directions Pinterest gives you in their business help section.

What LMGildersleeve is saying is correct.  But put plainly.  No. You can not claim your Zazzle storefront as your website.  This is because your storefront has a zazzle.com url.  You do not own it.  Zazzle does.  As she mentioned you can add it to the website field that Pinterest allots and it will appear on your pinterest account.  But it will probably never be a verified site.

Utilizing your own website will give you the ability to claim and eventually be verified.  I am unsure about different blog sites.  I think it might still be possible through a few of them.  Not sure if that door has been closed...

Agreed. I thought so.

I am doing a deep dive into Pinterest this week because my branded name business account was recently, inexplicably suspended on Pinterest.  I didn't violate any of their rules and I can't get any answers as to why, 6 emails later. Let me just say there is way more to marketing Zazzle with Pinterest than I learned in my Zazzle course. I also think there have been several changes to how Pinterest works with the business accounts.  Please correct me if I am wrong here this is what I have learned so far.

1) to make rich pins which have links and metadata, I must create them from scratch (I use Canva), and post on a business account.

2) to have a business account, I must have a website because my Zazzle site store is Zazzles, not mine (URL) 3) Pinterest prefers and prioritizes "verified" accounts which also require a website OR Shopify (for a hefy subscription fee).

I plunked down a wad of cash and I am putting together a really basic, portfolio website but I am quite annoyed that I have to take on something else to maintain and I don't even know if this is what Pinterest is looking for, or if I am expected to build an e commerce capable website in order to make 10% from Zazzle sales referred from there? This does not seem cost effective or time effective to me. Am I missing something here? Did Zazzle and Pinterest have a falling out?

You don't have to pay for any website. I've been doing this for over a decade and am almost at Gold Proseller level. I only use blogger / blogspot websites. They are free, easy to use, and Pinterest likes them. Don't bother paying for a domain, it's really not worth it. I learned that the hard way. It may seem like a good deal in the beginning but when it comes time for renewing it a couple years later you may find yourself with a hefty fine if your site has grown, and if you then switch or quit it leaves you open to hackers on your old links. I've never had ANY issues using blogspot sites. They are extremely easy to customize too, I just bought a cheap template from an Etsy seller and it looks like an expensive website now.

Got it.  Thank you very much for the information.  I can check this off my Pinterest list.  Much appreciated.  Thank you!

A workaround I use is to post a product, then point that website address to the product's web address. That's legal as long as the image represents what you're pointing at.

Great advice!  Thank you very much!!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you can claim a url from Zazzle because your page is not the main domain. That may have changed, but I've always had my own domain so I've not tried the Zazzle thing is like 13 years.
