Collections are behaving badly! Something has gone awry with Zazzle Collections! What's the deal?!

Is anyone having issues with collections? I have just begun to create collections only to have them vanish inexplicably. They do NOT display at all. I am using a WINDOWS 64 BIT Desktop Computer and GOOGLE CHROME is my browser. I have done some troubleshooting and believe this to be a backend issue on Zazzle. When I make edits to certain designs such as T-shirts for instance the changes I make are NOT reflected in the collections themselves. I added a couple of optional text fields to a T-shirt design and when I added said T-shirt to a collection the T-shirt only showed my art and NOT the additional text fields I just added. Finally I deleted 2 products and lost the collection said products were contained in and all of the collections with a similar title. I then tried to create the lost collection with the same title only to receive an error that the missing collection already exists? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any input or advice. Collections have becoming buggy and infuriating to work with.

Let me add to this by stating that there seems to be no way to actually delete individual products from a collection. Does this mean one has to delete entire collections if a product or products need to be deleted from a collection? Again Zazzle Collections is being rather dodgy. My store, it's products and product collections are set to PRIVATE (HIDDEN) while they are being organised my brand and product lines are being developed. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. I need to keep my store and it's products HIDDEN until I am ready to launch/open my shop.

I had one collection where I used a tag containing a ', like "it's snowing", and it turned into 6 tags instead of the allowed 5 resulting in the collection being unavailable and giving an error. So you might check your collection tags if they are 5 or less.

I also tried to remove a product from a collection (chrome based browser) usually you can click the hamburger and deselect it from the collections and also tried doing it via the store backend and neither option works

can't edit, add, or delete from existing collections, either. 😞

I deleted a product in the store management area that was part of a collection. When I checked on the collection to reorganize it, I got a “Request Error” message so the collection isn’t showing. It was a fairly new collection so I decided to make a new collection and delete the old one. THEN, I deleted a product from the store management area AGAIN and the same thing happened. If I’m signed out the collection shows. I’m using BRAVE 1.49.132. The same thing happens on Vivaldi 5.7.2921.63, Opera 97.0.4719.43 and Safari 16.3.

PAZP What you just described is synonymous with what I am seeing on my backend too. I took the very same steps and created DEMO or TEST collections to troubleshoot myself. The very same thing happened to me. I too received the same Request Error message. Again I suspect this is a Zazzle backend issue. According to Mark who is a Zazzle moderator Zazzle is quite aware of the issues we are having with collections. Sad to say but I am relieved to know it is NOT just me but is in fact a possible bug. I hope we can all resume collections creation without the hassle soon.

I am sorry but collections are still NOT working. I still cannot click on the hamburger icon and delete items from a collection. When the icon is clicked there is only a prompt to ADD to other collections in the menu that appears. I have hovered over said icon and there is no prompt to DELETE. Issue is still NOT resolved. Glad to hear PAZP's issues have been resolved for the moment.

Is anyone still having issues with collections? I still cannot DELETE ITEMS from a collection. I hover over the hamburger icon and receive a prompt to ADD NOT DELETE products from a collection. My store, it's products and collections are all set to PRIVATE and are hidden while I am in the process of developing them. I am really frustrated and upset now. I have put years of work into my store and product lines. I cannot proceed with building and opening my shop if I cannot create collections without all of these infuriating bugs and glitches. I am feeling lost and aggravated. Should I contact Zazzle tech support via the phone? Can a moderator who reads this please contact me? I should NOT be forced to make my products, my store or my product collections public when they are NOT ready! Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is anyone else still having issues with collections? This is one of the reasons why Zazzle shops fail you know.

As of today 9th, April, 2023 I have been testing to see if this problem persists and it does within one of my TEST COLLECTIONS. The drop down menu often seems to have a mind of it's own and will checkmark collections with in a list even if you do NOT instruct it to do so. Furthermore collections seems to get stuck in a certain mode where in when a product is check marked for DELETION said product does NOT DELETE and remains within the collection one is trying to DELETE and NOT ADD to. Also I have noticed that collections gets tripped up and thinks one is adding and NOT deleting from a collection. Again I suspect this a backend issue. I hope this will be resolved soon. Collections is proving to be very dodgy and buggy and NOT easy to add or subtract from. Has anyone else seen this issue persist?

How might I add screen captures to my post on this forum? There is no prompt for me to add attachments to my posts. I feel attachments would give everyone including Zazzle a clearer insight into what has run awry with collections. 

@TAngelone, are you still having issues? I am not but might be able to help you troubleshoot.

 

I’ve seen other posts that indicate collections are working for you. If true, and you see this, please mark as closed/solved. 

 

- one thing to know is that Zazzle doesn’t update many things as quickly as you might be used to. Because it is so huge with so many products, it can take 24 hours or so for certain changes to be reflected.

- I still often get confused and have multiple versions of a product that look the same but are not. Check the id of the product. 
- adding attachments to forum: in my browser, I see a menu strip right above my box to text in, with reply, bold, italic, list, numbered list attachment and camera. Do you see that - as in my attachment?
