Do I Need a Unique Google Analytics Measurement ID for Each Shop?

Hi,

I am trying to get my Google Analytics 4 configured properly and am hoping someone on the forum will be available to provide clarity.

I have a website that links to all three of my Zazzle shops. Basically, I have a brand (Alba Marie) and my WordPress website links to my Alba Marie Weddings, Alba Marie Babies and Alba Marie Lifestyle Zazzle shops.

I already have a GA4 Property for my WordPress website, which has a Measurement ID (the number that starts with G-). Do I need a unique Measurement ID for my 3 Zazzle Shops? To get a unique Measurement ID, do I need to create a Property for each of my Zazzle shops?

Wish this weren't so confusing to understand!

Thanks in advance,

Dawn

@albamarie I believe you do. (but am no expert in GA 😂) I've set up separate Measurement IDs for each of my shops (as GA require a unique url to set them up to collect data for its data stream so I don't think one property would suffice) so I suppose yes - create a new property for each of your zazzle shops.

Happy Analytics!

Thank you @Sara_H for your response! That is very helpful. That makes sense that you need a unique url for each data stream. Heading off to set up three more properties on GA4. Happy Sunday!
