I design new products everyday. Do you design new products everyday?

I don’t make a lot of money but I work hard at my store on Zazzle and love this work.

@Veselka_Store  Generally yes, I’ll try to create at least one listing per day. But for the last couple of days I have been creating videos (see as an example at https://www.zazzle.com/freedom_rings_forever_1776_2026_usa_school_spirit_clear_fanny_pack-2561580697...) and I also have been working on tags to update existing listings. Like you I love working on my store but it’s definitely a hobby, not a business at this point. 😉

@MOM  Very cool, video is an awesome idea. Yes it’s a hobby for me too, I know what you mean, that I am trying to grow into a business though. I love designing so it’s a work and pleasure for me 😄

I enjoy the freedom of stepping away from designing when I want to enjoy life. While I design most days, there are many days I go out and live a little (or a lot!).

@DancingPelican Definitely a good idea, what everybody should do, live a little or a lot 😄 ! Good for you. 🙂

Yes  I'm at the semi-retirement level now, still in it for passive income, and the desire to create new products yet not missing out on life in the process 💕

@Laura That’s right 🙂

I don't design every day. I'll make a suite of related designs and then build a collection with them but I don't post anything until all the designs I'll use are done.

@KeegansCreation Great idea! Love it.

I often work like @KeegansCreation; making related designs and not posting until the collection is done. I love the freedom to walk away when my creative juices aren't flowing and then, at those times, if I'm not in the garden, I might spend some time on updating old products or creating cover photos or videos. My kids hung a sign outside my home office that says "The Wi-Fi went down for five minutes so I have to talk to my family. They seem like nice people."

@Baylee  I’ve done that too, great minds think alike 😄 when the creative juices not exactly flowing.

I used to, but not any more since the dysfunctional design tool became compulsory. And I try to only create products that don't have templates or a minimal amount of templates.

@Anne Sorry to hear that Anne, it’s tough to learn over again something new. I don’t use it much, I miss the old design tool every now and then when I need it.

@Veselka_Store This has nothing to do with not being able or willing to learn something new, but everything with being sick and tired of having to scroll all the time and having to click something 4 times, where it used to be just one. It's just my "workaround" to dealing with what I consider to be the incompetence/ bad decision making of Zazzle here.

@Anne  I see, I am so sorry Anne, I regained my motivation using mobile design tool and out of Zazzle helping tools on other websites, like colour picker that I can’t use on Zazzle and need and I also see the new desktop design tool improving but I agree it is not the same to what we used to in regards to its simplicity and comfort. Good luck to you with designing and your store, I miss old tool too but I moved on and accepted this reality and that there is no way back. I first lost my motivation completely, as I don’t have computer or iPad and it’s not meant for mobile that I use. There is nothing we can do about this new reality ourselves but be hopeful Zazzle team will listen to us and improve it to make it more user friendly, some people already liking it so there is hope for all of us. Don’t give up Anne. All the best to you with your store.

No worries, Veselka. We're dealing as best as we can with what we got. And no, Zazzle does not listen to us. Best of luck to you in your endeavors!

Today I designed just 4 products and mostly was working on mockups. Sometimes I don’t have many ideas of what to create, at those times I still work on my store. My store and my designing is what brings me joy.

Let’s get real here. Money is my motivator. Without it, I can’t eat, have a place to live, or secure all of life’s necessities. I don’t sit here and design endlessly for the love of designing. This is how I make a living.

@Jadendreamer13  You are lucky that you can make a living on Zazzle.

Not just on Zazzle. I’ve worked as an artist for large corporations and government agencies, too. You have to be flexible and design things you never thought you’d be asked to design. 🙂

@Jadendreamer13  “You have to be flexible and design things you never thought you’d be asked to design. “ Great thought and approach! I will remember that.

Thank you all for the advice that you shared and your experience and answering my question. I learn a lot from you all.

Your enthusiasm for designing on Zazzle is refreshing! I wish you continued enjoyment and many sales! 😀

@DancingPelican  Thank you so much. I wish you many great sales too and to always have motivation to create and design and have fun doing that 😄

I used to design and/or post at Zazzle almost every day, but since Zazzle now only offers 1/2 of the royalty we used to get, my desire to design or post anything at Zazzle has severaly diminished.  Additionally, Google analytics reports show me that I receive less "legit" visitors now.  Instead, I get tons of bod visitors, every time I post a new product.

@WBartworks  Sorry to hear that, that’s quite understandable, designers lost a lot of money when this happened, it’s tough.
