Grouped Product Color Limit

Hello everyone, I have a question about grouping products. Is there a limit to how many colors will be grouped together? I like to create at least 10 color variations but sometime more. Will all colors be grouped or should they be sorted per say by lights vs darks?

All this being said I havent actually seen any of my products with color variation dots. I have requested a few groupings but am waiting to see if they will actually be auto grouped. Or perhaps is it they are not being grouped because there are too many?

I think @SJoy  is referring to the comment you can make when choosing "Group Products" from the drop-down menu beneath the product in the back end of your store. When choosing to do it this way, there's a comment box that I assume is read be a real human being, though I don't actually know if it is.

Not sure on definite number, but I have some products that come in 10 different colors.  I don't think I have ever seen my products grouped together automatically (even though it says they do it for you).  I started manually grouping them right after creating them.  I also leave a little note in the comments section with something along the lines of "Same design offered in different colors"  or something like that.  Since doing it this way I have noticed my items being grouped within a few days.  Sometimes they still get it wrong and leave a color or two out and I have to go through the process again and then put a comment that certain colors were left out of the grouping.  But they usually get it sorted out fairly quick and by that time I am off creating something else.

Are you writing the note to Zazzle during the request or are you writing the note to the consumer letting them know it’s available in other colors ?

Thanks @Barbara  for posting that answer.  That is the comment area I was referring to.  Not sure if a real human reads those or not.  I just have better results in grouping products by doing it that way.

thanks i went in and did it that way. its hard to believe they actually have the manpower to respond to every request. it would be perfect if the auto group was functional.

your store is super cute btw
