Any advice? My zRank went down from 6 to 5 the other day because I added 10-20 products to my store... I'm wondering if I should continue to add products, I currently have about 1000 but want to keep a healthy increasing practice. Does it matter or is it better to increase products to get more sales??? I'm thinking the latter.

I can't share "expert" advice, because I only have modest sales, but I can share what I do. I keep an eye on zRank, but I don't let it stop me from creating new products. I do, however, make sure I'm promoting my most recently created products as well.
As I create a handful of products (5-15 or so), I make sure they reach a certain number of views (5+ each) before they get bumped to the next store back-end page (and out of sight). I don't think this protects my zRank, as I think sales are more important, but I do like making sure previous products are off the SEO starting blocks.
I don't follow this goal strictly, e.g., if I'm on a creative roll, , but I will try to pause before I get too far. I'll also sometimes create new products and promote recent ones simultaneously, as well as promote products throughout their lifecycle.
I don't know if my tip makes a substantive difference, and feel free to customize it for your working style and scale of work. For me, though, I feel better about moving on if I'm sure the previous products won't languish with near-zero views.

If you have a very niche product zrank isn’t important because who are you competing with? Potentially no one. If however it is a high competition niche the zrank might give you and edge but not when competing with a 100,000 products some of which are widely promoted and advertised.
