How are the marijuana designs rated?

Now that pot is pretty much legal, are the designs rated G or are they restricted? I can't figure out how to tell.

I’d assume they’ll stay as they are until/unless the federal government follows the states and legalizes. Even if that happens, they may need to stay restricted for other countries?

But, how are those designs rated now?

Hey @Barbara ,

Here is a link to our maturity rating system: https://help.zazzle.com/hc/en-us/articles/219431407

The above article should explain this.

So, it's rated either PG-13 or R, but neither of those descriptions mention drugs, which means I still don't know. There are areas besides pot that I'm now questioning. Tobacco, for instance. I have an utterly silly cartoon I drew of a panda relaxing with a cigar and it's rated as G, but tobacco is a drug. And what about the plethora of illustrations of alcohol such as beer and champagne? Alcohol is also a drug.

I'm still confused. 😞

Alcohol and tobacco are regulated and taxed and legal as long as you are of age in your country. Marijuana isn't legalized or decriminalized on a federal level and it's that way in many countries. I hope that helps a little. Also you can look into Britney griener I think is her name. She is a WNBA player ID I remember correctly but is detained in Russia for marijuana related things, that's how serious some other countries are about it. Even though it is relaxed in many states and other places.

The question here is: PG-13 or R? Fiona is waiting on the answer unless someone shows up here who does pot designs and knows which it is.

The athlete in Russia got in trouble for CBD oil, which contains no THC, the psychoactive substance in pot. Apparently, they don't know the difference in Russia. The whole thing is an utter shame, and I hope the U.S. government can bring her home.

I am looking into this for you now, @Barbara .

I will let you know as soon as I hear back.

@PenguinPower  I bet you're correct. It probably depends more on legality than on danger. How else could it be done?

As for the problems concerning other countries, I checked and found that only these countries have fully legalized it: Canada, Switzerland, Uruguay, South Africa, Jamaica, Georgia, and Mexico.

The remaining question is, therefore, whether pot is PG-13 or R.

This is a good question. Thanks for bringing it to attention. I would also like to work on some cannabis related products but had put it on hold because I wasn't sure how to rate it, even if it's just imagery of the leaves/flower and not necessarily any direct reference to drug use. It's a plant, first and foremost.

In the meantime, we could call it hemp, which is the same plant but lower in THC and good only for rope and rugs. LOL

I don't know if the content filter is actually working for me, but I tried setting it to Safe and found that all the marijuana products were searchable. Not trusting things, I then used a private browser window but had the same result. It made it appear that these products are G-rated.

@Fiona  It appears Zazzle never got back to you on this question. Could you try again?

Since drugs are mentioned for a G rating but not a PG-13 rating, I'm assuming the rating should be the latter, but assumptions aren't always reliable.

Thanks.

I suppose I could message one of the designers who does such designs and ask them.

After further investigation but without any official or unofficial answers. it seems pot is rated at PG-13.

@Shakenbake  Join me in giving it a try. Maybe we'll make a few more sales.
