How Can a Customer Do This?

How would a customer go about creating a collection of, say, wedding suite products they might want to browse later with an eye to buying?

They'd probably have to log in and hit the Favorites icon on the product (the heart). I don't think it would save if not logged in.

Ah, I guess that would work for a lot of shoppers, as long as they don't have several events to keep straight. Had not thought of favorites.

Can't anyone with an account make a collection? I bet they are morel iikely to save it to a Pinterest Board though!

Ah, you are right. Very likely, Zazzle customers will go off site to Pinterest. Over there they will see wedding invites from other companies and may jump ship I guess and buy from some other company.

I can't see a way to save anything to a collection anymore. Unless it's my own product. But maybe Zazzle shoppers will see a way to save to a collection that I just can't see.

Okay I just added YOUR products to a collection. I went to your store, clicked on the Products tab. When I hovered over a product listing there is a heart and another icon. Click on that icon and it is the add to collection icon. Just like the old days. I don't know why I would ever want to do this, but it is possible.

Thanks for checking that.  It's not working for me, though. I am on an iPad. It used to be possible on iPad but is not possible now when I try to add one of your products to a collection--or at least I can't see a way. I get options only for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Copy this Link.

As for why one designer might use collections for products of other designers, I in the past have kept collections of special postcards I might want to feature on my blog. My loss of that feature and the inability to view page source on iPad means I won't be doing the blog anymore, (because I don't know how to build an HTML link without being able to view the page source). But the more important question for Zazzle and other designers, is whether customers would shop less due to the streamlining of the product page.

I don't use an iPad for Zazzle so I can't help you. I don't see how the streamlined page will affect customer shopping. There's still the product, Other Products You Might Like, Products Often Purchased Together and the collection if any. Plenty of chances for the customer to find something.

I just realized that you might have a very different page view because you are using an iPad.

@Windy

Have you considered buying a wireless mouse for your iPad? I have a touch-screen laptop, the kind that can fold flat for use as a tablet,  and it's great, but there are some things that are still way easier with a mouse then with screen-touch or the keyboard or the touch pad.

I had no idea they made wireless mice for ipads, but why would you need one when you have Apple Pencil? I keep wishing I had a pencil for my computer, but not once have I ever reached for a mouse on my ipad!

Hi Windy,

I thought the same thing. And yes, it's not as easy and there is nothing in the Share Icon. But the option is still there. I just closed a topic about it.

They have already posted a quick link in their reply to you. Make sure you look at it. They've given detailed step by step instructions. And they work!   🤣😊🤣   I tested it.

Just on the last step I was looking for the heart icon, but neither the heart icon or the add to collections icon show up until you hover (with a mouse on a laptop) and then they become visible.

Here's the link to her instructions which was shared with me by Sara_H

@ColsCreations did a fantastic post here https://community.zazzle.com/t5/share-your-tips-tricks/how-can-i-add-your-product-to-my-collection/m... Check that out!

You might want to add someone else's product to your collection when you find something that goes really well with your product but isn't a competing product.

Personally, I just add anything I like to the cart whenever I'm shopping on any site. Then I compare from there.

That's what I do, too!
