How often is too often?

Hi,

So I've got a few ideas for designing t-shirts and tote bags, as well as some nursery decor. I'm also planning to release blankets.

My products are primarily aimed at children (Frost Babies store), but I do want to have some stuff for any parents who may find the designs appealing.

How often should I be creating and submitting new products to gain visibility? I don't want to spam, but I also don't want to get buried by the algorithm.

Thanks in advance.

I don't want to spam, but I also don't want to get buried by the algorithm.

It's only considered spam if the products don't even have a design (see recent thread about somebody who posted dozens of products that were nothing but a black background) or if the tags have nothing to do with the design, recipient or event (such as tagging a teddy bear design with "unicorn" just because "unicorn" is a common search term). Simply creating lots of products isn't spam. Go ahead with all your various ideas. It will be fine.

Hi @Deirdre . The simple answer to your question for often to create new products is, all the time. If you are creating products that are everyday gift, or event related (such as baby shower, birth announcements, etc) adding products to your store daily or at the very least (time permitting) once a week is perfectly fine.

If you are designing for holidays such as Father's Day or Christmas, posting should be done no later than 3 months before the holiday. For example, starting in July you could potentially be selling Christmas themed items. That holiday some folks starting buying way in advance. The link to the Moments Planning Calendar is on the right hand side bar here in the forums.

Designing new products best practices is quality above quantity. Be thoughtful of what products you add your designs to. Try and put your best work out there.
