How to correctly design spiral notebooks

I am designing spiral notebooks and planners with a framed photo on the front. I am wondering what the rule of thumb is for 1) centering the framed photo or 2) placing the framed photo slightly to the right to allow for the spiral rings? When I center the design it doesn't look quite right; but when I move the design over, centering it in the area without the spiral rings, it still doesn't look quite right.

What is the standard placement for this type of design?

@Scott and @Mark, do you know the answer to this? Is there a standard placement or a rule of thumb for this? Thank you so much in advance.

Hi @smkshops,

Thanks for reaching out. I am checking in with the team now and I will let you know when I hear back.

Hey @smkshops,

The team advised:

When you go into the design tool, you will see the placement of the safe line on the left has been moved over to allow space for the spiral rings. I normally turn on the grid lines and count for an even amount on each side.

They also provided the example below:

Thank you!

I took a look and the way you designed the most recent notebooks looks amazing. I wasn't picturing large frames, and I see now why you questioned the placement. Love how you've done the back cover background. Very nice.

Thank you Molly. 😊

The preview of my notebook has grid paper. I had wanted it to be regular notebook to write in, not with grid paper. What do I need to do to make sure it is regular notebook paper?
