How to order Personalization fields on products page correctly?

In the editor I organized my layers in the order the text shows up in the design. But when I go to the product page and click on the Personalize design button all my fields are out of order. How can I place them in the correct order so its easier for the customer to personalize my design?

Go back into the design tool. Select each template item then slide the template slider to OFF. Then select each item individually (in the order you want them to appear under Personalization and slide the template slider to ON.

I just used this process to fix the same problem last week.

The order is determined by the URL Parameter Name. They're ordered alpha-numerically by whatever is in that field.

Change the numbers in « url parameter name » of the fields you want to reorder in the Zazzle designer. The fields will be presented to your customers using the alphanumerical order of these parameters content. 
Tip:  To avoid mixing with already existing fields, I use greater numbers .

Example: 

Product Page Label                     URL Parameter Name
Child Birthday Date.                    Text1

Child Name                                   Text 2

I want Child Name to appear first, then I change Text2 into Text11 and then Text1 into Text12 for child birthday date

( to avoid the situation where I already have a text1 and change text2 into text1, because it would lead to a transient  state with two text1 and a possible mix between their content.)
