I am doing some coffee cups, and I have to put the design on whatever side the initial default view that the customer will see.
Can I change which view the customer will initially see or do I have to use the default placement of the cup that is presented to me. Which is usually the handle on the right hand side.

Yes, on your product view, choose Edit Details, then under the Merchandising section click on the particular view you want customers to see first. Then save your changes.

However, there's a bug in terms of how the item is presented in a collection. If you add the item to the collection during the posting process, or if you add it from the single product page, the customer will be shown the default view in the collection (I'm not sure what happens if you add it from the new collections back end.) The view in the marketplace and on the product page will be the one you chose, but inside of the collection it will show the default.
The workaround is to add it to the collection from the store back end. https://www.zazzle.com/store/your-store-name/products If you've already added it, you can just delete it from the collection and then add it back this way and it will fix it. It's a major annoyance and it's been this way for years. I guess it just hasn't risen to the top of their list in terms of fixing bugs yet.
