Increase in Sales - Cover Photos

Just wondering if folks are seeing an increase in sales bc of using cover photos? Has it been worth all the work?

I haven't made it rain but there has been a small uptick. If I sort the back end by Last Sold, about 30% of the last month have cover photos. Some had sold previously (cover photo added to keep them from sinking in the algorithm) but some might never have sold without the cover photo. My never-sold St. Patrick's Day shot glass would have been pages back behind the other 630 St. Patrick's Day shot glasses because it hadn't sold but it was on the first page and sold. Only a couple other St. Patrick's Day shot glasses also have cover photos. And they are also on the front page.

I've sold only products without covers, but that could be nothing more than coincidence.

Doesn't appear to have made much difference for me, if any.

I'm taking a break from it. I worked through two of my largest collections and am fairly well burned out from doing 112 covers. The up side is that I've found it's easy and a bit of fun to use those images for my own Pinterest pins because enough room is left to be creative with the advertising text. Fun for now, but we'll see just how long it is before I'm burned out on that too.

I'm wondering about those who've been with Zazzle since the beginning and have built up huge inventories. I keep imagining them lying flat on the floor hyperventilating.

Since the beginning of the year I've done nearly 600, and I am totally burned out! I still have another couple thousand to go!

My sales do seem to be increasing since I added cover photos. Not a lot, but I've sold several things that had never sold before, after I put cover photos on them. It's hard to know if it really is due to the covers or not, though.

I've sold a couple things that had never sold before, but they had no covers, so I'm left wondering how the customers even found those items. Maybe they were the persistent sort. But you've done 600?! I'm even more burned out just thinking about it.

I'm a Zazzle newbie, but I already have a couple of products that sell, so I'm very afraid to change the covers of these products, I already changed them, later I was insecure and went back to the previous ones :DD
I think that in some other cases it may have helped to sell it for the first time, yes I think so...

Ha!  I, too, have been afraid to add a cover photo to my best sellers for fear of disrupting the universe...
