Once again another AI question...

Sorry in advance if you've come across this question somewhere before. With all the discussion (and rants) over AI, I sometimes use it as an integrated part of whatever I'm designing at the moment—never wanting to use it as a crutch.

I remember seeing somewhere about using the tag #generativecontent. I've never used it, but instead, at the end of my product descriptions, I conclude with 'This design was implemented with the assistance of a generative artificial intelligence program along with various design software.'

Is this still acceptable? Also, has anyone ever made sales with such disclosures?

@blckpython  If you are using AI in your designs, you have to add #generativecontent to your tags - it's the new policy and if you are not you are breaching the Content Guidelines

I would add that tag to your already published designs that utilizes AI in the creation of it

@blckpython I can’t answer your question since I only use „generativecontent“ as my tenth key word but in fact I like your option to use a sentence in the description much better. The items will sell (either way) because most people don’t bother to read the description or to look at the key words. They buy the product if they like the design (however it was produced).

From a customer's point of view, I think it's wonderful that you are adding that disclosure to your descriptions. It's so frustrating sometimes (on Etsy especially) to buy something thinking it's hand drawn or even worse, actually VINTAGE, only to find out it's really AI generated. (while I can usually tell, sometimes the small product photos don't always look AI generated.)

I see nothing in the Zazzle rules quoted in this particular thread, saying that we need to inform customers about generative content. Instead, the rules specifically state that the tag "generativecontent" will be used by Zazzle "to track trends and usage in our marketplace." I know of no way to inform a customer about the use of AI because I do not believe customers read the description, which customers probably do not know exists. And customers are not likely to  notice the tags, as they would have to scroll all the way down the page to find those tags. Zazzle wants to be able to track AI usage, but is silent as to whether it's important to inform the customer about AI usage. So to me, the answer to your question about whether adding a sentence about AI to the description serves the intended purpose, is no.

Pinterest and Me. We're a thing again.

Zazzle requires us to TAG generative content. You do not have to mention it in your description, but you DO need to use the tag "generativecontent".

In Zazzle's Content Guidelines found here: https://www.zazzle.com/policy/content?srsltid=AfmBOooUdyRoPVDUtblMYvI7bEIdfq3qdT50ddHQ6MkygTVQuDhJ2Y...
if you scroll down the page until you see the section entitled "

"AI In Action"

"The use of AI in Images for sale on Zazzle"

you will find their policy regarding the requirement to tag AI Generated Content
• All designs that contain any AI-generated content as part of the final composition should be appropriately tagged as “generativecontent”. This will help us track trends and usage in our marketplace.

Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, that's the exact policy I am referencing.
