Hello,
A bit frustrated here. I'm trying get together a Pinterest business account. I've researched other accounts, and they have pins unrelated to boards. They have just the pins. When you click on the pin, it takes you to an explanation of the pin.
Further, these accounts don't have an "All Pins" or "Shopping Pins". Every time I try to pin something, whether from someone else's account or from my files (Canva), Pinterest asks for a board. I set up a board (although I don't want to), but then Pinterest adds the "All pins" and even "shopping pins".
I can't get around the "you need to have a board to put this pin in". But other accounts don't a board(s). They just have all individual pins.
What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

I'm not sure I'm fully understanding what you're describing but I'll have a go.
As Pinterest is an online Pinboard, you'll always be asked where to pin your image.
If you create your own pin the summary of all your created pins will be found in the 'Created' section - see image. All the images you have saved go in the 'saved' section.
Not sure if that helps at all. Here's some info on the Pinterest Blog that may also help.

Hi Whimsywhim, If I am reading you correctly , the regular posting of products to Pinterest has always been via Boards relating to the said product ! Eg Pillows > The heading for this product could be Creative Arty Throw Pillows! It is important for sales to include Boards! Customers search via their wording ! But posting products on Pinterest is ever changing! You can now Pin directly from Pinterest using the Create Option!

Can you provide an example of an account of a link to a pin that behaves as you describe? I'm curious about this. You can send via chat if you'd prefer not to post publicly.

Thank you, everyone, for your replies. I didn't think I was clear. I should have posted when I got my thoughts together in a coherent manner. My apologies!
