Please help me figure out how to create "large" QRCodes

Hi all,

I've been doing a bit of RW advertising lately and am looking to figure out how to enlarge a QRCode to a largeish size... say 10 inches by 10 inches.  I mostly use free sites to generate the codes and found one that uses a .esp file.  Not sure how to use that as I am unfamiliar with it...

Do you mean .eps 😉 (encapsulated post script) - that's a vector image file format, so you can enlarge it to your hearts content without pixilation. It's an older file format, so finding a program that can work with it, outside of Adobe products, might be more challenging. GIMP opens them and you can view, but not edit them on Google docs. Microsoft products 2019 and newer however won't accept them anymore.

@PenguinPowerForehead slap...lol.  Yep.  Trying to do to many things at once.  I'll have to try it.  I do have access to an older Adobe program I believe... Time to dig through some disks... 

or maybe someone else knows how or where to accomplish what I wish...

 I was poking around at a few free QR code sites and it looks like many will also generate .svg files, which are also vector based, so no scaling issues. That file format is usable with Microsoft products. If you like the generator you are using, it looks like you can insert .eps files into Google documents or slides.

Thanks!  I did not realize that .svg's were vectors that I could resize at will.  Appreciate the help!

Just curious ... where would one use a 10 inch QR Code? Perhaps a highway billboard?

@BKMuirCar magnet, yard sign, banner.... perhaps smaller... but still like 3 x 3 or 5 x 5 on a variety of other items that people will see in passing at fairs etc...

I have a few cars (not all mine) that do advertising via magnets.  A bigger QRCode would allow the car that is stopped next to you to grab the code while in traffic or at stop lights/signs etc.  A large qrcode could go on a banner above a booth at a fair.  I know crafters that would happily promote for me if my promotion did not take table space away from them.  I'm even considering giving away free tees that would have maybe a 3 x 3 qrcode on the back.  Easy to scan... as long as the fabric falls properly... or front and back wearable billboards at fairs... 
I have lots of RW ideas that I think a larger qrcode would be beneficial for....

I'm a bit late to this one, but I think you can import eps files into a vector program like Inkscape (the free one I use). Then resize it to your desired size, and then re-export it as a png or save in your preferred format. (I prefer svg for vectors.)

I once got a QR code that only generated small jpg in the free version. So I imported it into Inkscape, then did 'Trace Bitmap' to get a vectorized version of the jpg. Then resized it bigger, as it was then a vector rather than raster image. Then exported it again as a png. Worked pretty well.

I too am late to this party, but I often use the suite of converters at https://image.online-convert.com/ with good results.

At this link, you can convert .eps to .svg.
