"My first Halloween" could soon be trademarked on baby clothes and bibs

I just discovered that a trademark for "my first Halloween" was published for opposition on august 20.

https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=97009782&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchTyp...

Since it has been published for opposition people that know better than me have informed me that there is a real risk of this going through, which means that anyone that has anything with Halloween and first will probably get their products taken down soon. There is a 30 day opposition period to file a letter of protest, the last day to do so is TODAY. Is there anyone who would consider doing this? I am unable to get my USPTO account verified as I live in a non English speaking country so I can not do it myself. This person have already managed to get My 1st st Patrick's day trademarked and is also applying for My 1st Christmas, My first Easter and My 1st Valentine's Day!

Ah - I see, there’s a notice of opposition $600… or a letter of protest $50…

@James

Is it helpful I wonder if Zazzle could file an objection to this as there are over 1000 listings with this phrase 'my first halloween'. They're applying for 'my first christmas' too which would have a greater impact still.

In the meantime, replacing first with '1st' should resolve the issue moving forward. Also 'Baby's first / 1st' etc.

Actually, they are doing both- 1st, and FIRST. They actually have 24 frivolous trademark applications going, even for the word "one." At least their application for "Merry Christmas" got denied.  I don't even know how they are getting away with applying for these frivolous trademarks with a fake website!

Everyone who's on Facebook should contact Trademark Watch Dawgs about these. They usually get a lot of people together to help file letters of opposition. I'm not on there anymore, so I can't do it. They've had success in taking down several frivolous trademarks.

Seriously IMHO, applications for any normal words - not made up ones like Pepsi, Kodak, Xerox should be categorically denied if it asks for blanket protection of those words in any form and not just protection of a specific logo/font and color combination…
