Replace a product?

I've been seeing other people in these forums mention 'replace product' as a new way of replacing elements (images, text etc.) on existing, older products and changing them without having to recreate it in the marketplace, is this correct? I'd like to change an existing wedding invitation I've just created (just noticed it has a problem with the text personalization) without having to delete it and start from scratch, but I can't find how to do this in the backend? TIA!

unfortunately, at this moment, this feature has only been rolled out to a small group of creators.

If you have just created that product you can simply modify the product and fix the text personalization issue and then post the new product for sale. You need not delete the product and start from scratch. @GraphicAllusion 

 

NOTE:If you have already posted the product to Pinterest or Twitter or whatever, you would want to delete there and post the new item.

Thanks, Windy. Yes, the trouble was it's already been posted to several different social media accounts and had a lot of views already, so I didn't want to tinker with that. I think I'll just have to let it go. The issue was a relatively minor one. I made a stupid rookie error and used a letter 'I' for the personalized monogram instead of something wider like an A. It is fixable in the editing tools, so hopefully our customers are savvy enough (and I'm sure plenty of them are these days) to change it in there.

 I am waiting patiently for my Replace Product feature to go live.....meanwhile I'm popping a few items into a collection so that when it's time, I can find them easily and  I can get going with a few small tasks like that, too!

I just got the Replace function on the 18th. I edited a fairly new product (created on the 7th) and it was live with the "correction" today. Yeah!

It's been almost two years, and we're still waiting for the 'replace a product' feature. I have really old products with thousands of views and sales records that I wouldn't want to lose just to replace a template image that's too small... C'mon, Zazzle... What's the criteria for us getting this function? Do we have to be PRO Platinum?

I hear you. I've completely given up on this now. I've (reluctantly) had to delete older products with large number of views (and even one or two sales) just because they had minor faults in them, to go in and fix them up. Just had to start from scratch, which I wasn't very happy about at all. 😒
