I have been able to find ONE single product created this year that actually sold. Anything else that sold is way older, sometimes even created 10 years ago!
I find it hard to believe that my designs are suddenly so much worse. Is anyone else seeing this? Or any thoughts on what might be going on? Thanks.

For me, just one product. It sold the day it was published. So the customer probably saw this product when she actively changed the sort feature to 'newest'.

@Anne @Windy I had two sales although one was a custom order which sold within a day and the other one was a product I had created in February 2025. By the way - it took me 1 1/2 years to even notice the popular/new switch on the desktop because I browse using my phone and there (on mobile) this option does sadly not exist (yet). I had suggested it in the forum just recently because most people nowadays will browse using their phones, not computers. Bummer (still). If they would ad that feature to the mobile interface we would sell more new items I‘m positive.

I sold 13 products created in 2025. All the rest of my sales were created in previous years. Since we’re only in July, and it takes 2-3 months for new products to get indexed and seen by potential customers, I think this might be a typical sales pattern.

I recently discovered that nothing I had created since December 2023 (!) had sold, talk about a dent to morale. This includes both new designs, and old given a makeover. I foolishly imagined I was getting better at this, but my efforts are clearly not keeping pace with a changing platform and market. Small consolation, but this month my "newest sold" jumped to October 2024. By comparison, my first ever sale (back in 2015) came within a couple of weeks of joining, and a sale coming within one or two months of creation wasn't unusual in the first couple of years on here.

I don't know how the 'search' works but I have sold dozens of products created this year. But then again, 99% of all my products were created last year and this year.

Yes we have found similar, for every one sale from 2025 we sell 10 from 2011-2012-2013-2014 and so on as you said in your question zazzle search engine it is stuck on time for us as well anyway.

Some other words for "stuck in time" would be "stodgy" "fuddy duddy" and "square". Thesaurus also suggests "dull as ditchwater".
